My close friends didn’t wish me on my birthday!

Pata hai aaj kya hua?
Today is my birthday.
Two of my closest friends forgot to wish me. Not even a simple text.
I kept checking my phone the whole day, thinking maybe they’re busy and will remember. By evening, I called both of them. Neither picked up.
Finally, I texted them saying, “You both didn’t even wish me on text. I’m a little bit hurt.”
I’m 34 years old, and honestly, I still cried today.
It’s strange how birthdays can make you feel like a child again. It’s not about gifts or parties. It’s just about feeling remembered by the people who matter to you.

My father passed away in a date which is near to my birthday, in 2022. Since, then birthday never feels like my day! But I used to feel good when people wish me. I got unexpected calls from people who I hardly speak to, but not from them.
Maybe they genuinely forgot. Maybe they’ll call later. I don’t know.
But today… it hurt. Call me melodramatic, but I cried.
