Dear hivemind…

Have the trail hunter, first yota ever… and the thing that grinds my gears is that it’s a truck with a plastic bumper.

I *really* want to avoid anything that doesn’t allow me to use the OEM kit. I want it to remain low profile and keep within the lines of the truck… but I live in an area where people park by braille.

My last truck had a steel front and rear bumper, and I’d always laugh when I’d walk up and see the paint marks on it… now… 😬

I joined the club from the land of Jeep

My Gladiator Diesel gave up the ghost… and after much research and flirting with an EV truck (as I live in a metro area, the lack of charging infrastructure, and the changeable pricing for public chargers made it a non starter… I pulled the trigger on a 26 Taco… next week the Alucab topper gets installed…

Taco Tax of it at work in its natural habitat:

Dear Hive Mind:

So… I know some of yall gonna hate this, but I pulled the trigger on a 26 Trailhunter longbed. (Sorry to the haters, but this is a work vehicle and I need the warranty, and bought the extended one, bc I *will* need it)

I’m looking at the tires, and as a high mileage driver, I know they’re not gonna last me 6mo with where I go.

My Go-to upgrade once the stock shoes come off have been GY duratracks, I *need* that winter rating.

So, w the trailhunter, with its wee little lift, is it advisable to go to 35”? Or keep to stock 33”?
