Found this in the wild (of a plant store) this weekend 😍

Came upon this massive & gorgeous Thai Constellation at a plant shop in downtown Santa Cruz this weekend. I couldn't resist taking a video and snapping some pics. So impressive

How to handle asking about gender identity?

For context: I own a gym and it is women-only very specifically to provide a safe space for women to get stronger without having the additional worry of gym-bro culture, energy & misogyny. I offer free trials & had someone sign up online last week. That person has a foreign name so their gender identity was unclear. When I met them this morning - still unclear.

To make my position clear: If I had a co-ed gym, my clients gender identity would not be an issue for me (or any of my business) but because it is a space for women, it's my responsibility to protect the space for my clients.

They have a male name (I later learned) and appeared male however, were wearing leggings & had some more feminine characteristics, so could very well be in early transition. Or this could be a man who didn't read through my website and just signed up for a gym near his home. I need to figure out the situation so I can either a) warmly welcome her into the community or b) politely let him know this is a women-specific space. Not sure how to go about this without making shit completely weird and uncomfortable. Or maybe I'm overthinking it??

any advice or thought would be greatly appreciated 😄
