These guys love NC heat.

My collection of monsteras really enjoy the nc weather. Have to water them every other day with the drought though.

Cherishing our babies

I got this Thai in April of this year from a hardware/garden store for 24€. It is now July, so 3 months with this little demon.

The 'Princess with wet feet under her skirt' has grown 2 leaves in my care.

She is facing the window and I rarely see her good side so seeing her fully warms my heart.

Show off your babies and the growth they had!

How to i stabilze this Hunchback of notre dame

I got her a month ago and repotted her into my chunky mix. Since then, well.. u see whats going on.

I tied her to a chopstick but ai said, its hurting the new leaf thats forming inside the stem (or petiole or whatever) so i took it off.

Now i dont know what to do, i got a coco pole here but im afraid itll be too stressfull to repot again, altough shes growing tons of roots.

Pls just tell me where to bind it to the chopstick or what to do cuz im sitting here for 30 min now and my ass hurts.

Repotting day!

Repotted my two largest Monstera's today my Thai Cons and my Deliciosa's..these are my Thai Cons. The big one is Connie and the smaller one is Kahn Jr., she was struggling in the same pot as Connie. Same age and everything but 3+ Monstera in a pot together wasn't a great idea I learned.😅

So Connie got a repot/up-pot and I removed Kahn Jr...Connie still went from a 12" to a 14" pot. She is very hard to move now! Im small and she ain't! lmao 🤣🪴

Share your large Thai's and advice on how you got it that big?!

Support question

Hi, question/discussion. So I'm of the belief that large form Monstera develop better if they crawl. And this Thai has been doing great. But I don't have much space for it to grow outward/backward. So I was wondering, who has theirs with a wood stake. I use zella trellis for my other plants, but I'd prefer to not use a support if not necessary. Thanks!

Bought my first Thai

Hi guys,

Three days ago I went to my local gardening center. Originally I wanted to buy a gift for my sister but I couldn’t walk past this thai monstera and ending up buying it for myself (and a gift for my sister as well of cause)

And here I am, a total plant rookie. I did some research and the internet but more questions appear than was answered. Obviously I need some advice on how to make it cozy for this plant and give it the best surroundings.

some questions that came to my mind:

  1. should I repot it immediately or wait a few more days to let it acclimatize.
  2. in case of repotting: what kind of substrate? And is repotting to a bigger pot necessary?
  3. should I get a moss pole or any other kind of pole already?
  4. Is the location right at the window suitable?
  5. what is a good watering routine?

Thank you in advance for your time and suggestions!

Cheers!

How much should I sell my monstera Thai constellation

In Cambridge MA, had it for almost a year but running out of space. What’s a reasonable price for selling?

First new Leaf!

Got this bad boy for $15 about a month ago. Two leaves since with this being the first with fenestrations!

Looking for advice on adding a moss pole after this hardens and I repot (second time as roots are growing through the bottom).

My big beautiful Thai

Had this guy for just over 18 months now and it has about tripled in size. Had to move it to a new location due to overcrowding of Alocasia/Calocasia but I like it in my bedroom anyway!

Repotted my thai constellation monstera

Long story long: I got this monstera a week and a half ago from Home Depot. Watered it last sunday. Found a couple tan critters lurking in the soil fast moving cried my eyes out thinking I ruined this plant. Ordered Molly's Mix and a clear nursery plant. The soil was still damp and sticky today when I started repotting (for the first time), but I managed to get out atleast 60-70% soil. Because there were more roots than soil and they were curled up like the shape of the pot a lot of the soil was in the center hugging it. Because it was wet I couldn't force my fingers to get in between these roots that look tan and thick but I still tried. I gently rinsed in a pot with water twice (didnt run it under a hose or a tap like chatgpt suggested) because by the 2nd swish my legs wore out and I got disheartened watching those critters crawl around (some kind of pede claimed by chatgpt). So i put it in an inch larger clear nursery pot with aroid mix at the bottom then around. Tried to place it at the same height it was before.

Watered it again and now the pot looks like this.

Any tips/help/suggestions? (Pls dont come at me hard I am new to houseplants only have a snake and a rubber plant so far, gently is fine)

Thank you!
