Any hopes? Thai constellation single node

My Thai Constellation keeps developing rot and had an additional growth point. That node also has a small aerial root. I cut the growth point away from the main plant, which still has the remaining roots sitting in water. I only removed the small section to minimize stress and avoid shocking the main plant too much.

After cutting it, I applied diluted H₂O₂ to the cut surface using a cotton swab and let it dry completely.

I then placed the cutting in a medicine cap with four LECA balls and a very small amount of water, mainly to maintain moisture around the aerial root.

There doesn’t appear to be any active rot, but the node itself looks somewhat shrivelled.

Is this still salvageable?
