So I explained to my dad today who was an old Spider-Man who stopped reading comics in the 70s one more day. And he just straight up called the book evil and the person who wrote it evil. No other comments it's just is an evil story.

With great power, there must also come great responsibility #venom 258 spoilers

It is always core. Regardless of symbiote or human anyone who takes up that symbol will learn it and live by it. I hope Dylan will learn it soon

So I posted what I think think the adventure 2020 casts secondary partners would be. Now I will posting what the digivolutions for those partners would be starting with the easiest: Tai

Why it's the easiest because ogremon has a pretty established digivolution line but I wanted to add one little twist a dark digivolution.

So normally for Tai's ogremon would go from:

Goblimon> ogremon> rebellimon> titamon

This is pretty easy because it very clearly references the similar evolution style of the agumon line.

Now you are probably noticing a certain extra digimon here. Well yes skull greymon would be the dark digivolution or regular if you prefer because in certain digimon media ogremon can digivolve to skullgreymon and thanks to time stranger skullgreymon can digivolve into titamon. Titamon even looks like he is using skullgreymon's skull as a sword. You can easily have it to where tai either dark digivolves ogremon or because of the influence of the crest of courage ogremon would digivolve to it naturally

So some friends and I decided to watch adventure 2020 together and as a game we decided based on the episode they were in which digimon would be the digidestines second partner if the show was allowed to give them a second partner

Start off based on the show in order that they happened

Tai would get ogremon

Mimi would get gaurdromon

Sora would get funbeemon

Joe would get potatomon

Izzie would get garbagemon

Kairi would get petaldramon

Matt would get machmon

And tk would ironically get devimon

Hot take apparently: wanting Peter to get an upgrade, have a sustainable job (or parker industries), to have a healthy relationship, and to have a good work life balance does not mean he loses what makes him Spider-Man or that we hate Spider-Man or don't understand the themes of Spider-Man

If anything it's accepting Peter as his own character. His own wants, dreams, and needs. Having him grow out of this constantly suffering classic depiction to be an all around healthier person is not going against the ideas of Spider-Man. Wanting him to use that doctor Doom level intelligence does not mean he stops being a hero. Having him become a global hero doesn't mean he won't stop doing street level things. Having him get permanent upgrades doesn't mean he won't still struggle with his rogues gallery and still overcome them through tenacity. Having him be in a healthy relationship with any of the women he has dated in the past 20 years doesn't lose what's relatable about him. Peter Parker is Peter Parker Spider-Man is just the mantle he uses and it's something anyone can put on.

Today in Possiblities just insane enough for spider editorial to do. Queen in black ends with the creation of a 616 version of April Parker aka Mayhem

It hit all the stuff it needed to the bitterness towards Peter and Spider-Man. The trying to be a better Spider-Man than the original, the slow corruption, and then finally giving in to the monster inside. Adding the goblin Junior stuff to it with it being Harry and the symbiote being created from a Norman Osborne experiment allowed for a new take. And a more personal one than it was with Eddie who never really was Peter's friend before bonding with the symbiote he was a co-worker who Peter got fired because of Eddie's own actions. It being Harry adds to the tragedy of the symbiote corrupting him because Harry is Peter's best friend.

Since it now looks like asm 1000 will not be a regression story but about death spirals consequences

This is going to be controversial but I want this big milestone issue to be a step forward in Peter's life not a step backward. Either he actually makes something of himself personally or decides that he should go into space with realith and his tech buddy.

This is a big milestone stone and it being used as just a status quo reset would just be wrong in all the ways it could be. It's this big milestone and it should be a massive event for Peter but if it's just regressing the character back to the "classic" depiction then it's just going to be the same storylines we have been getting since one more day. When specifically they have never had a good status quo reset for Peter.

He could be in a relationship with MJ but I prefer if we expand his relationship with realith because honestly it's a new dynamic for Peter could bring some interesting reveals to his character. MJ should still be a hero with a symbiote venom or not because honestly turning her into a civilian again after all this time would just be ignoring everything. You don't make good stories by ignoring the past you only repeat the bad ones (do you want a new P*** because ignoring P*** gets a new P***). Her being Peter's girlfriend again is fine but let her be it while she is a super hero they literally have not done that with 616 Peter and her.

Eddie honestly should just go do his own thing without Dylan. Honestly ever since the end of king in black he has done more harm than good for Dylan and hasn't really done anything to make up for it. And the symbiote obsession he currently has where he believes he needs one to be special will not improve the relationship. Especially with venom because right now that relationship is far from healthy.

Dylan needs to stay with MJ and maybe Peter. Either with the venom symbiote or his symbiote powers coming back. He needs to learn to be a different kind of hero and venom than his dad. One that is a true hero and not an anti hero. It's something I have felt his venom should go after his symbiote team a team about making up for the mistakes of their parents and grandparents. If he has venom that's fine but I would prefer his codex powers to come back now that he is older and can handle them. Also I want you know who's death to actually mean something to him and not just a foot note.

These are my personal hopes for asm 1000

In the original story for the black suit Peter is objectively the one in the wrong. It never caused him to be aggressive, angry, to be a jerk or anything the other adaptations added. It was just an alien suit that was bonded to Peter that he got scared of and tried to kill because it was an alien that fought crime as him nothing else. He never was corrupted by it, he never tried to talk to it, he never tried to understand it. He tried to kill it even then the symbiote still loved Peter and it's last act it believed at the time was to save Peter's life.

The 90s cartoon changed it to a corruption storyline. How while wearing the suit Peter was angry, vengeful, selfish, and did things for himself. This is the storyline most modern adaptations and alternative comic continuities use. It was never a true adaptation of the comics because of it was Peter would be the only being in the wrong during that situation. However this is the adaptation that people think of when a new adaptation pops up and if it follow it they say it's not comic accurate except this adaptation isn't comic accurate and still isn't. they have yet to retcon the original black suit saga in 616. The events are still the same as it was originally.

In order to make a comic accurate adaptation of the back suit it cannot corrupt Peter and Peter has to be in the wrong in trying to get rid of it. But no adaptation is ever going to do that because it makes Peter look worse.
