As I looked at myself naked in the mirror, it was at that moment I understood loneliness.
Not the loneliness of being without someone but being with someone and still feeling alone. Standing there in my rawest form thinking is this all I have to offer, me. And that’s when she walked in so lost in my thoughts I knew she was there but my mind wasn’t. So they continued… the thoughts in my head. I heard the door handle slowly lift followed by a lock sound. I turned around not surprised to an empty room, my empty room.
