This is my favorite electronic subgenre to jam. It's one of those styles where everything just clicks for me, and I don't feel like I have to force it to get a sound I enjoy. I just love patching.
This is a part of a track i am still working on. Visuals were also created by me.
Getting into visuals lately instead of improving in music. The visuals are cool though.
I am rarely using it for percussion, mostly for textures and modulation. Enjoy the jam.
This is my first time ever uploading a track. I don't think it is finished(like all the ones i made before) but something told me to just upload it.
I've been getting into IDM and experimental electronic music lately, and I've been trying to create more glitchy and "musically unethical" tracks.
This is a jam I recently recorded. I personally hear it as IDM-influenced, but I'm curious how others would categorize it. I'd also appreciate any feedback.
Yesterday i made this rack with only an MFC wood board, a hand saw, wood screws and no prior knowledge in carpentry.
I bought the edge today, sounds and looks great.
Video editing needs a bit of work but you get the concept.
Never finish tracks. Just keep twisting knobs and sliding faders.
How do y’all actually finish tracks?
I know buying new gear isn’t the answer (and I’ll probably get downvoted to hell for even mentioning it), but ever since I got the kobol as my first synth, I’ve been learning a lot and improving musically. Still, I feel kind of stuck when it comes to actually completing tracks. I can jam for hours and come up with ideas I like, but turning them into finished songs is where I hit a wall. What helped you get past that stage?
Also, where do you usually seek help or feedback from other people? I’m wondering if I should enroll in some kind of course or just keep learning by doing.
The past few years have been rough. After struggling with addiction for a long time, I finally quit a couple of months ago. Since then, I’ve been trying to focus on music and find work in my field, but honestly I’m still struggling financially, emotionally, and in a lot of other ways. Part of me hesitated to post this because I don’t want it to come across as looking for pity or validation. I just wanted to share how much music can help sometimes. There are moments where I stop overthinking, stop worrying about everything around me, and just get lost in making sounds. Especially when I’m not taking it too seriously and something ends up clicking in a way that sounds good to my ears.
Anyway, thanks for listening, and I hope whoever’s reading this is doing okay too.
Tr8, kobol expander + fx added post recording
I've been jamming for a month. I need some advice and constructive criticism. I want to make more hypnotic, minimal, slower-tempo tracks but i am struggling a bit.
