lowkey my fav combo for moi Oily skin😭😭

I have oily, acne prone skin and I've been trying to simplify my skincare. For the last couple of months, I've consistently used Ordinary Niacinamide serum followed by the Wishcare NMF Water moisturizer, and honestly this combination has worked better for me than I expected.

The Ordinary niacinamide serum helped the most with oil control. After regular use (once daily at night) I noticed my skin looked less oily and the post-acne marks looked a bit more even over time. I also feel my breakouts became less frequent, although I still get the occasional pimple before moi cycle, BUT THAT'S IT 😭😭

Wishcare NMF moisturizer was the bigger surprise for me. I saw influencers raving about it but was kinda skeptical. wasn't expecting much, but it's genuinely lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving any sticky feeling. Most gel moisturizers I've tried either feel too light or don't hydrate enough, but this one actually keeps my skin comfortable without making it oily. It layers really well after niacinamide and doesn't pill under sunscreen.

A few things other things I liked-

These are very easy to stay consistent with.

Niacinamide serum helped with redness all in all soothing.

NMF moisturizer is very lightweight no itchy feeling afterwards.

Didn't clog my pores or cause new breakouts.

My skin the last few months never felt dry or overly oily.

A few things to keep in mind-

If you're new to Niacinamide start slowly because 10% can feel strong for some people.

If your skin barrier is damaged, I'd focus on repairing that first before introducing stronger actives, it is v imp.

Overall, if someone asks me for a simple skincare routine for oily acne-prone skin, I'd be comfortable recommending this. It has been reliable and affordable and happens to be working for me.

What are y'all using for oily skin ? Wouldn't mind expanding my horizon 🫣
