Sorry guys, I didn't take a photo but I wanted to give an update on the sale. I went today at noon.....very picked over.
The only classic candles left were Encre, coton, delice and a few stragglers here and there. Perfume was gone-I think there was one scent left (veryverio) with some rose paper perfume (not sure what that is). The XL candles were citronnelle and that was about it. They had diffusers and taper candles and some mini holiday mini packs but it was cleaned out.
Forgot to mention, getting in was smooth as opposed to the dumpster fire from last year, which made this sale something I don't mind doing next year if they do it like this again. I actually got there early and they let me in and it was very smooth inside. No rush and no chaos. DO NOT BRING A BAG WITH YOU! You will have to check it.
Next year, I'll pick another day but overall I'm happy with what I got-I got restocks of encre and coton classic candles, which are my two favorites. I indulged and got delice and the last bois cire that I accidentally stumbled on.
But my goal of restocking papier in all forms (candle, toilette, hair mist) was a fail. Better luck next year.
Located in NJ. Original bank was Comenity bank and then the debt was sold to crown asset and then passed to PFW for suit. I filed my answer with the court and sent a demand for chain of assignment.
This is where the situation is weird.
So the original account was for a Sony card. The card rebranded to a Playstation card a few years ago and no new card or account number was issued.
PFW sends a summons for an account ending in a different number from the original card. It's not Crown Asset's account number either. It's for the Playstation account.
So there was a new account number issued and they are suing me for that account.
I sent them a demand for chain of assignment and so far they sent me back monthly account statements but for the Sony card with the original account number, not the new account and the account number they filed suit for.
They also sent me someone else's bank statements, but that's another story. I did not contact the firm to let them know they sent over someone else's card statements.
Has anyone been in a situation like this? Since I'm still in the discovery phase of things, I was going to ask for records detailing the exact internal account mapping, linkage, and migration of account from one account to another in addition to a second request for chain of assignment. I was also going to inform them in this letter that I have someone else's statements accidentally sent to me.
Ok guys....so I jumped in and added Calecim to my routine. A little back story: I'm 52 and on HRT for perimenopause/menopause (my body can't make up its damn mind).
So about 2.5 months ago, I adjusted my doses (higher estrogen and progesterone)-broke out a little but nothing big but I felt like crap so about a month ago, I adjusted my dose and dropped to a lower dose of progesterone while keeping the estrogen dose. No breakouts for 2 weeks. I added Calecim into my routine (the Multi-action cream and the pink serum) at night. I also added the Anteage serum for my daytime routine.
And now I'm breaking out like crazy. I honestly don't know if it's hormones but I was reading that Calecim can cause purging. If this is the case, does it stop? I really want to try out these products as I am getting older and would like to keep my skin looking optimal but damn....I have the skin of a 15 year old. It's so weird.
I recently received a summons for a debt from the law firm representing Bank of America. I answered the summons and filed with the court so that part is done. I know the discovery part starts now but my question is, should I send a letter for chain of assignment?
Depending on who I speak to, either it's not worth it because the creditor is the actual bank and can prove ownership or that I should do it as a formality. To add, the account was opened in 2007 in another state (NY) from where I live now (NJ).
I plan to contact them and hopefully negotiate a settlement as I have no assets and no garnishable salary but willing to settle the debt but I wanted to ask if I should demand chain of assignment to cover my ass in case they want to pursue a trial.
To add: I was originally in a debt relief program which caused a whole lot of problems so I am trying to remove these accounts and handle them myself. I have revoked the power of attorney from the program with this account.
After weeks of hoping and sadly coming to terms that Panda’s babies didn’t make it (she’s really tiny) she brought her baby over last night.
It’s adorable and doesn’t quite understand gravity yet (kept climbing but couldn’t get down)
The baby is a handful so I’m calling him/her “trouble”. But I’m so happy for her.
Panda is our residential raccoon. She came early for dinner tonight and is a little spooked because a storm rolled in so she’s under my car and splashing around in the puddle.
My husband and I have been enrolled in Five Lakes since 2024. Combined we have 79,000 in debt (mostly his). I'm not going to get into the full story of Five Lakes other than it was the typical-we enroll and 3 cards immediately paid off, 3 more in the works but each one we needed to pay more into the account. Out of those 3, one of them filed a lawsuit and it was handled for almost 85% of what we originally owed.
My problem with Five Lakes is that they don't even try to settle the debt for less or a reasonable amount and I caught them pulling a few shady tactics with me. One account the creditor contacted me so I emailed a copy of the letter over to five lakes-it was a "we represent this creditor, pay this amount or ask for a validation of debt" letter. I called the next day to see if someone looked at the letter and I was told that it hasn't been reviewed yet.
An hour later, a resolution appears. I called in and oddly, the rep opened the conversation asking me if I was served any papers. I said no.
Then I was told that I was being sued and I should settle for...get this....more than the original amount. And they can resolve it if I put $3,000 more into my account (even though the amount owed for account was only $1,200) and I have to do this because it's important that we settle this now. Since I knew this was not entirely true, I asked for the paperwork for a) the lawsuit and b) the settlement negotiation, which the rep could not provide but he kept telling me that I was being sued and I needed to do this.
I was finally told that there was no written offer and there is no summons. Just the debt validation letter that I emailed them a day earlier. They have pulled this numerous times so I am not feeling comfortable staying with them anymore. They won't attempt to settle for lower amount-they just keep trying to push me to accept the offers so they can collect their fees first.
So with that said, I'm looking for ways to start pulling accounts from Five Lakes and taking over handling the debt myself but doing it without causing a massive inflow of lawsuits and owing money at once.
I have to stay with Five Lakes as I have 3 accounts still in payment and one of them is a lawsuit settlement but I don't want them to handle the rest anymore.
Any advice on how to go about this? I have one account that just filed a suit and I was going to contact them directly and ask for a settlement. This account is enrolled in Five Lakes but the creditor contacted me directly with the debt validation and announcement that they were handling the collection of debt.
Btw, I did request a validation of debt and they still proceeded to file suit but I have a paper trail showing the a letter via certified mail. I was going to mention this when I called them to open discussion on settlement and if one was reached, I was going to remove it from Five Lakes.
But as for the other accounts-should I contact them all at once with a validation of debt letter? Or should I pick the higher amounts first? Should I go with the creditor brand (citibank vs capital one)?
Because I'm enrolled in Five Lakes-they have been getting all correspondence. I only know about letters received because when I get a resolution offer, I ask for a copy of the letter to be sent. But as for communication, it's been going through them and I don't know who is contacting them.
The last thing I want to do is pull all of these accounts out and now they are coming for me all at once and filing lawsuits. I would like to try and settle these as they come.
Any suggestions or advice on how to go about this is welcomed.
And yes, I know Five Lakes sucks....I regret my decision to enroll.
My resident raccoon, Panda, is really picky for a raccoon. She doesn't like fruit (not even grapes) and only wants toasted honey wheat crackers as a snack. She loves sunflower seeds though.
I feed her dog food and try to mix some snacks in there but damn, she is picky.
Tried giving her a tortilla chip last night and she stared at me like I cursed her ancestors. Gave her popcorn a few nights back and she was deeply offended.
Anyone else have a food snob they deal with?
Ok so I have this little guy visiting every night for dinner. He showed up a few months ago because I feed the neighborhood stray cats and I just accepted that he's not going to go away so now I feed him too.
He doesnt act out of the ordinary but he's small, he's skinny and hes got some bald spots. He's used to seeing me, thats why he's not jumping when I'm talking to him and I can get close to him.
I emailed a wildlife conservation for some info but can anyone give some additional info. He looks really young so I'm hoping the fur and skinny is his age and he will eventually grow.
