It seems like rock music is back? I guess?
So, I made a post nine months ago about multiple deep cuts from older alternative acts charting on the Hot 100 (Link- https://www.reddit.com/r/ToddintheShadow/comments/1n1555j/there_are_currently_multiple_deep_cuts_from/ ) Well, it seems like that might not have been a fluke, and there's new artists this time as well. We even have two of the five that are in the top forty. And while I don't really think you can call Dracula a rock song, it's been embraced by alternative as well. The other four songs are by self described "western space grunge" band Dexter and the Moonrocks, Julia Wolf who sounds like Tate McRae making new music for Evanescense, a band that I had never heard of despite having my ear to the ground in rock/alt, and a Weezer deep cut from... 2014?
