Scar care!

Hi hi fellow Franken-titted friends.

I am officially 6 weeks post op today! I have purchased both silicone gel and bio oil, and also have some silicone tape coming in the mail. Which of the three is most recommended? I will probably try a combo of the three in some way. My doctor said the tape is the most proven way that helps, but I’ve heard good stuff about bio oil. Not sure about the silicone gel but would love to hear from other’s experience.

Jelly Donut Recs

Hi hi hi, I have a major hankering for a classic icing sugar coated raspberry or jelly filled donut and I don’t know where I would find one in Vic? I’ve never been to empire donuts before but I was looking online and it doesn’t look like they have them? Anyone have any leads?

Hi hi,

I am four weeks post-op today, hurray! That being said, there is two or three spots on my incisions where I can still feel and see some stitches that haven’t fully dissolved although the rest of the incision has healed over. How long has it taken for stitches to heal from others experiences? I also can feel some odd prickly bits sticking out of the incisions? Probably normal but just more so wondering what they are/when they’ll go away. Looking forward to when I can start scar care as the area is so so dry and the incisions are still quite red.

Hey all! I am 22 days post op, and I’m feeling unsure about my surgeons post op instructions from my two week appointment. For reference I was a 38 H and got about four pounds removed.
My surgeon told me I no longer have to wear my compression bra at night and don’t have to wear it religiously all day, just when I am moving around more. I’ve been doing that, since it is nice not to have to wear it. I’m just scared that maybe it won’t help with swelling/shape? I’ve read on here people still wearing it religiously around this time.
My incisions are pretty much fully healed over and are just a bit dry/scabby. She also told me I can’t apply anything to my incisions until my 6 week appointment but I’ve seen on here people have been using scar tape/gel sooner?
I’ve also been going on walks every day, my longest one thus far was yesterday and it was 45 mins on relatively flat terrain…maybe too much? Having a hard time listening to my body as I was pretty active pre-op and not exercising does not feel right. I did cardio-blast aqua fit once a week, and weightlifting 3x a week, so maybe that has helped me?
I’m feeling pretty good, but still feeling cautious and unsure about if I’m doing things right.
