Anything short of over the counter HRT is discrimination

Cis people don't have to justify their sex to a doctor. Cis people don't have to deal with insurance companies or waiting lists to get their hormones. Cis people don't have to get endless blood work done to continue getting hormones. Cis people don't have to sign papers showing they're informed before they can get hormones. Cis people don't have to be put on puberty blockers before some adult decides they're "ready." They just get it all for free, they get to have a normal life and there's no gatekeepers, no appointments, no hurdles, no judgement. If a trans person has the money, then regardless of age, they should be able to walk into a pharmacy, scan HRT at a self check out, and start transition without needing to care what a single goddamned person thinks about it. We will never be equal with cis people until we are free to take our destinies into our own hands.

I've decided to lock in and read the comics Luna appears in, here's Luna and White Fox being total dorks

u/MellowMercie — 8 days ago

Reached Celestial for the first time playing almost nothing but Luna and Mantis !

I also mained her and White Fox in Season 8 and 8.5, been climbing slightly every season since I started playing. Luna is THE most fun character I've ever played in a hero shooter, or really any character-based game tbh including things like MOBAs. I love her aesthetics, her personality, the sound design of her abilities, her playstyle—everything! Her kit just feels incredible to use. Nothing beats the dopamine rush of a good snowball flick. Mark my words, I WILL NOT STOP until I take our girl straight to Eternity. If Luna Snow has a million fans, I'm one of them. If Luna Snow has 5 fans, I'm one of them. If Luna Snow has 1 fan, that one is me. If Luna Snow has no fans, I'm no longer alive. If the world is against Luna Snow, I'm against the entire world. Till my last breath, I'LL SUPPORT LUNA SNOW! RAHHHHHHHHHH

Stop using the nazi website full of nazis

I know this is 4t4 and being a bunch of self-loathing doomers is our whole thing, but seriously stop using Twitter, just stop it, uninstall the app right now. Stop reading this and go do it. Everyone on that app is stupid and/or evil, and yes that includes you. You're stupid because you haven't uninstalled Twitter yet. Morality of using a website owned by one of the most evil men on the planet aside, I swear half the ropefuel posts on this sub are screenshots from Twitter where some TERF or 16 year old nazi says comically evil shit about us that you in no way benefit from reading. It's like that meme about AI where a guy commands a computer to say something and acts shocked when it says the thing. You are surprised to see ropefuel at the ropefuel factory!

If you think Twitter isn't that bad or it's not affecting you, I think you would really benefit from taking a break so you can step back and see things with a fresh mindset. I used to use Twitter religiously from 2016 until whenever Elon first tried putting a limit on how many posts you can see, I think in 2023? I logged back into my account just to see how things are now and the website is basically unusable. 4chan has always had the reputation of being a right wing shithole because of /pol/, but at this point Twitter is 10x worse than whatever normies think 4chan is. My entire For You page is just tailor-made to rage bait me to farm engagement. Everything is vagueposts and bots and arguments over asinine bullshit. Open the comments to a post, scroll past the @.groks, and the first thing you see is always some brainlet with 0 reading comprehension responding to an entirely different post they hallucinated ("you hate waffles?"), or if the post was made by a lefty/queer person the top comments are slurs and insults. Even though I haven't used the site in years I still found myself instantly getting sucked into the endless doomscroll because Twitter's algorithm is just that good at making you angry and stupid, and it's fucking insidious.

You don't need the pet project of an evil trillionaire. Throw it away. If you still want to doom, go use 4chan more because at least 4chan doesn't have an algorithm that spoon feeds you content and turns your brain off—the zoomer equivalent of boomers playing a slot machine and watching Fox News for hours on end. If you think you'll miss seeing posts on Twitter, no you won't, because everything you wanted to see is going to get screenshot and posted to Reddit anyway. If you really can't stand giving up Twitter that much then try Bluesky and follow some of the big 🚂🦵 accounts, they're pro-diy and are like, 4t4 lite. Stop using the nazi website!!!

Some thoughts and suggestions for the Snuffing Out the Lamp quest in Tamriel Rebuilt

So I'm going through the quests to become Hlaalu grandmaster, and one of them is called Snuffing Out the Lamp given by Atran Oran. It's a pretty simple quest. He asks you to kill a Twin Lamps agent at a cave east of a local settlement. You can kill this agent on sight, warn them and tell them to run away, or tell them you're going to kill them. If you choose the later, they reveal it's a test by Oran to see how you feel about slavery. If you tell them to run away, Oran tells you it was a test, that you failed, and that you need to sign a contract to swear to never try to abolish slavery before he'll support you as grandmaster.

The idea of the quest is cool, but I feel like the writing is... kinda lazy for the sake of shocking you with the twist. If Oran is capable of making you sign a contract like that and he already suspects you, why even make you go through the test? Why not just make you sign the contract anyway to cover his bases? If you're pro-slavery or neutral on slavery like he wants you to be, then you wouldn't have any issue signing the contract to begin with. What if you killed the agent, but 20 years later changed your mind and became an abolitionist? If he's shrewd enough to test the player like this, you'd think he would be shrewd enough to just skip the test and make you sign. It's a win-win for him, no drawbacks whatsoever.

Ignoring the contract, I think the interaction with the agent could also use some work. I thought it was very strange the supposed "Twin Lamps" base was within throwing distance of a settlement close to a plantation, and if given the choice I absolutely would have questioned the agent to see what was going on, but you go straight to the major choice without even confirming if this person is your target or that they really are a Twin Lamps agent. Just because a player may be willing to kill a Twin Lamps agent to advance their Hlaalu rank, that doesn't mean they would be willing to kill an innocent person or that they will trust Oran's info blindly. By this point in my game I've freed enough slaves to unlock the Twin Lamps password, and it seems like a no-brainer to at least test them on the password before telling them you were sent to kill them.

So, idk. I get the idea the quest is going for, that if you're a careless abolitionist and you aren't willing to let the ends justify the means on the path to grandmaster, you can screw yourself over. But to express that idea and make that twist happen, this quest is written in a way that lobotomizes both Oran and the Nerevarine and suspends a lot of logic usually associated with quests in the mod.

I think an obvious and needed change is to add a dialogue option testing the Twin Lamps agent on the password. That would solve most of my issues with this quest. But I also think the entire premise of Oran's contract needs to be reworked. The idea that a contract like that is even possible seems like a stretch, and if it is possible it would quickly lead to every grandmaster being powerless and ineffective. Since a grandmaster needs to be voted in unanimously, every councillor could force every grandmaster to sign 50 contracts before giving them the vote. Oh, you don't want to concede to literally every demand I make of you? Sorry, you don't get to be grandmaster. Why should Oran stop at slavery? Why not make you sign a contract giving him a permanent tax break on comberries? Maybe instead he could try making you sign a contract giving him and HIM specifically an exception to owning slaves in the event that slavery is abolished. It being localized to just his plantation would make it a lot more believable.
