I've been working in IT for over 16 years, but only have a degree from TAFE. Would it be better to not include this in my CV at all?

Hi all,

I've always wondered about this. I don't have a university degree and only have a Diploma of IT from TAFE. I've been working in web development for 16 years and have been employed with some large, well known companies as well as government. At this point it kind of looks like my TAFE degree is dragging down my CV - it seems a bit silly listing it when my experience counts for so much more.

Would it be worth leaving the entire "Education" section off my CV at this point?

Many thanks

Will they reduce the number of map objects for custom games (or is there a setting to reduce these)?

It might be just me but I feel there are way too many map objects (artefacts, scrolls, windmills, etc), especially ‘defeat the guards to get an award’ type places (hunters den, radars camp, legion’s memorial, etc). I’ve started to ignore most of them now.

Is it just me who finds this? Is there a setting to reduce these I’ve missed?

What’s a model you thought wouldn’t sell well but did?

When the Ineos Grenadier came out I thought maybe they’d get a few enthusiast buyers but not many, especially for the price and being from a brand new company.

I was wrong. I see them everywhere here in Aus. A quick google reveals they’re edging into Land Rover’s market, selling about 1 Grenadier for every 4 Defenders (still low but impressive for a brand that came out of nowhere).

Has there been a model or brand that you’ve thought wouldn’t sell well but did?

Getting the "A PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS process has crashed" error whenever I try to launch the game. Have tried many solutions to no avail

Hi all,

All of a sudden I am getting an error appearing when I try to launch the game. A windows for the "BATTLEGROUNDS Crash Reporter" program appears saying "A PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS process has crashed".

This occurs before the game even launches, a few moments after clicking Play in Steam.

Computer is running Windows 11, and I have played PUBG on it for years without issue. The only unusual thing I did prior to this issue occuring was leave the game running in the lobby for a few hours.

Of course, I have Googled the error and have tried a number of solutions:

  • Restarted the computer
  • Verfied file integrity in Steam ("All 1012 files successfully validated")
  • Ensured the Memory Integrity setting in Windows Security was off (was never on)
  • Ensured Windows Game Bar was off (was never on)
  • Updated drivers
  • Tried running the game as Administrator
  • Ran DISM.exe (hangs at 62.3% - seems to be a common problem)
  • Ran sfc scannow
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled the game

None of these have resolved the issue.

Would anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks in advance.
