I was supposed to meet with a professor tomorrow and im gonna be away from home (i live off campus) and be stuck on campus during the time of the meeting. So I need a private place i can talk loudly enough. Does anyome have a recommendation?
I will graduate with my math degree this December, and im looking to do my PhD next fall, however I am considering getting a job at a university and doing my PhD with the tuition assistance from the school. Does anyone have experience trying to work at a university with a math degree, I have no (relevant) job experience.

I am getting ready to apply to PhD programs this fall as an undergrad. I have taken one graduate-level course, so I naturally asked the professor if she would write me a LOR when the time comes. She said she would but because I only talked to her in office hours a handful of times she responded with this:
"I would happily provide a recommendation letter to you for your graduate applications. However, I will request you to prepare a draft of your letter which focuses on your academical background/skills, planned research activities, etc,… (I do not know anything about you). You can describe yourself however you want. Then, I will edit your draft once you send it to me."
Has anyone done this before? I have no clue how long it should be, if it should be more of a list of the things she asked for or a nearly complete letter, etc.
The hole to my blade has become warped from improper use and no longer sticks to the metal piece on the machine. Does this mean if I get a new blade everything will work properly or is it a more serious issue requiring a new machine?
The past 2 years I've worked an on-campus job over the summer and have gotten a good amount of socialization through that, but now Im working a different job that pays more but is off campus.
Im done with finals and worried about being able to meet people during the summer (I don't have a lot of friends).
What do yall usually do? How dead are the bars?
