Nothing but urban skating! 💥
This is a compilation of several sessions with the IQON AG10 and the Endless 90 Ultra UFS frame. I had so much fun testing this setup and when I rewatch my own video, I feel a terrible urge to go and skate. You know what? That's precisely what I'm gonna do!
First time urban skating with the Endless Coburn (my urban environment was a skatepark 🤦♂️)
Urban skaters, rejoice! Ace urban skater Si Coburn has got his own signature frame: the 4x90mm Endless Coburn, by Endless Blading. I got to test it and was amazed by its responsiveness: you gotta be precise with this one, no sloppy skating allowed.
A closer look at the Endless Coburn frame
Ace urban skater Si Coburn has been inspiring me for years. His creativity and skill level are insane. So I was excited to hear he got his own signature frame, the Endless Coburn.
It's a 4x90mm frame, but not just another 4x90. This one feels unlike any other 4x90mm I've got (and I've got many of those). It's super responsive, so much so it was a little scary at first. You can feel every small mistake in your strides – no sloppy skating with this one.
The Endless Coburn is light, rigid and big fun. And it looks beautiful too.
My first slides on my brand new Endless Wheels – pretty lame, I was too cautious
Trying to slide on new wheels always feels a little awkward. But during my first ride with my new Endless Wheels it rained and so I thought: let's give it a go and try some powerstops and powerslides.
But as I was also riding a new boot (Twister LE) and new frame (Endless Stoppard), I was cautious and held myself back. So my slides looked pretty sloppy. Still did a double powerslide. so it was worth it.
Why does a skate that looks so good feel so punishing?
The IQON CL10 looks fantastic, but when I first slipped my feet in the boots, I thought: boy, that's a tight fit. Half an hour later, my toes went numb.
But I kept rolling and eventually, my blood reached my toes again. And I had quite a lot of fun urban skating this super rigid setup. The CL10 is a great combination with the Endless Swan frame.
The Rollerblade Twister LE with the Endless Stoppard
A couple of days ago, I posted a reel introducing the Endless Stoppard frame, a collab between Endless Balding and city skating legend Bill Stoppard. Some people complained the video focused more on my forehead than my skates. 😅 So I promised I'd post some pics of the setup. And here they are. (I'm not a professional photographer, but I do have a black piece of cloth in my cellar that makes things look more professional sometimes.)
To my eyes, this combo looks too beautiful to skate it, but to my feet, it's too much fun to not skate it. (So I'll have to live with some nasty scratches I'm afraid.)
[If you're interested, I've got a video with my first impressions.]
The IQON CL10 looks badass – but how do I squeeze my feet into these things?!
I'm editing my next video, which will be my first ride with this combination: the IQON CL10 with the Endless Swan frame.
The CL10 is a carbon boot and the fit is extremely tight. I went a size up from EU42 to EU43 and still: my feet went numb after half an hour of skating. But somehow, I still had a lot of fun riding these little monsters. I went for some urban skating with jumps and such.
A setup made for performance – but will my toes like it? 🤔
This is the IQON CL10 with the Endless Swan frame. A rigid combination that is meant for performance. Two questions though:
- Am I good enough as a skater to get the most out of this setup?
- How will my feet like it – because the CL10 has a very tight fit.
In my next video, I'll show my first ride with this combo.
First ride with the brand new Endless Stoppard frame
This isn't an actual review, just my first tricks on the 4x84 Endless Stoppard, a collaboration of Endless Blading and Bill Stoppard. It's a frame meant for hardcore city skating: fast, responsive and agile. I don't know whether I'm a hardcore city skater myself, but I sure had a lot of fun with it.
