Which two motherbaords for i7-12700K?
Hi to all you clever pc builders!
I have some DDR4 ram and 12700k that was donated to me. I am looking at two different motherboards that is available in my country But can't quite see what is better.
I am not going to OC but would maybe like to undervolt for a cooler quiter setup.
THe mobos are:
- Asus Prime B760M WIFI D4 (135 USD) - PRIME B760M-A WIFI｜Motherboards｜ASUS Global
- Biostar z690mx2-e d4 (110 USD) -BIOSTAR: Motherboard Manufacturer
For the Asus Prime I found a test showing that the specifc power phase setup will not throttle a 12700k under cinebench load. But since i am only using the setup for gaming i dont expect throttling to be an issue at all. The z690 board has very limited heatzinks and not fortified PCIe slot etc - and can't really see the power phase setup other than "10 phases" and it being the same as the B760 "version" of the same board.
WHich would be best? I have no experience with biostar but think that the specific board is something they have pushed for those wanting a Z board for DDR4
