Sunrise/set accessible hike?

I’d like to invite a group out to do a sunrise or sunset hike in the area but need some help finding options. I am hoping to find something that is: open early/late enough for us to start before sunrise or finish after sunset, includes 4 or fewer miles total of easy hiking, has some kind of nice view of either the sunrise or sunset, and is within a half hour drive of Tacoma city limits.

Something like Dash Point would’ve been great, but the park opens after sunrise and closes at dusk. Same with Point Defiance to a degree, but I’m also not sure what the sun views are like at those viewpoints?

Does such a place exist? Any hive mind recommendations?

Octopus at Owen today 😍

I have always wanted to see one in the wild so it was super exciting to find this little guy, especially with my kids and friends from out of town to share in the experience. It was about the size of my hand (I’m guessing, I obviously did not touch it to measure). What incredible creatures!!

For the runners: Coros vs FitBit with Strava

As the title says - I am a runner and I currently have a FitBit Sense 2 with a premium Strava subscription and just heard about Coros. I am interested in a switch but many of the features I’ve seen described I get to some degree with my linked Strava data. So if you have both a Coros and (ideally premium) Strava, or experience with both, what if any insights do you get with your Coros that you don’t get on Strava?

For a bit more context, I’ve just happened to have a Fitbit forever and only started running seriously in the last 5 years. I now run half marathons and am interested in taking my running data more “seriously” but am also trying to de-influence myself a bit because a watch doesn’t make me a serious runner or not. Still, my Fitbit’s phone relayed notifications have been inconsistent for months and as I’m getting fed up with that I’m looking outside of my brand loyalty for the next thing.

Some other features Fitbit has that I would need in the next watch are silent vibration notifications for calls/texts, a silent vibration alarm, reliable sleep tracking, and find my phone.
