I wanna buy a CC tuba in grade 11 to join TYSO (Toronto Youth Symphony Orchestra), but more specifically the Eastman 836S. I live in Canada and have been having a lot of trouble finding an Eastman here, and the ones I find go for $19K-$21K CAD. I know I'm still learning. I wanna plan it out now so I have everything prepared now so I can forget about it and wait. What and where should I go to find a used Eastman 836 in Silver? I've tried Facebook; I get nothing, and I'm not sure about buying overseas. Should I reach out to College or university institutions? I'm not sure where to find an Eastman 836 in silver for use in Canada. Edit: I do own a Bb tuba, and after my trip to the Dominican Republic, my mom said to put my Jupiter on the market to get a head start in saving. To be clear, I do NOT plan on buying a 6/4 now. I am planning. I am still learning and developing on my current Jupiter BBb tuba. I plan to minor in music performance, which is something I shoulda aid. Looking around on Canada it’s like 8k-18k CAD which is crazy. (This parts about buying overseas) I heard buying from overseas is more cheap but from Germany it’s Liek 30k CAD. I’m considering Korea though but I’ll do more research. For tuba players here how did buying over seas go for you? (The own I’m looking for the the Miraphone 291 Buckner 5/4 CC tuba in silver)
Recently I haven’t been tot eh gym ina while. I got busy with school and then got sick and now summer school. Recently my teacher said that I gotta work on breathing. Recently I’ve been trying hard to play forte. Any tips?
My fourth second and open slides are a lil stuck when pulling or pushing. My teacher said that because your not suppose to move them while playing there suppose to be like that.
Is it true or do I need tog eat it alined at a shop?
On my new tuba the spit doesn’t collect in ym spit valves but fills in ym second valve slide.
I bought ym horn a near 2 months ago idk if this is normal or not.
My old horn a lot do spit would empty out from my spit valves but it doesn’t so t ym new horn.
Is it a problem or will it collect in ym sport valve over time?
