ed1 to miami or nyu

ok so ik my stats aren't very good but its worth a shot to apply and im wondering if I should use my ed on miami or nyu and which would give a better chance of acceptance?

letter of rec's help

im applying to umiami and I need a letter of rec but I have no clue who to ask. I didn't really build relationships w any of my teachers cuz I was absent a lot and idk I just didn't talk much

my top choice would probably be my ap lang teacher. I got a 5 on her exam but I didn't really participate that much in her class, and I dont want to ask someone for a rec letter if we barely talked cuz idk if she's gonna bs the letter. do teachers really do that? I have no idea

my counselor got switched in junior year because my old one got promoted to assistant principal, so I dont rlly have a relationship w her either and we've only talked like twice

I had this entrepreneurship teacher, I got an a in the class and we were friendly. im not sure this is a good option tho considering she's just an elective teacher. however my ec's have to do a lot w business, marketing, e-commerce, etc.

Idkkkk

should I just wait for my senior yr teachers and hope to build a relationship w them and see if I can find a better option? im worried cuz there's not much time however

desmos being useless

is it true that theyre making a lot of the questions desmos proof in the upcoming sat's?

should I spend less time figuring out how to do regressions and actually learn how to solve by hand?

university

Hi I really want to go out of state for college and leave my toxic family, I won't get into my personal issues for wanting to leave but yeah

The issue is I had really bad grades sophomore and fresh year, with around a 2.67 gpa.

Now, finishing junior year I got my gpa to a 3.2 (with aps weighted, gov + lang)

My gpa isnt strong at all which may be killing me but Im willing to put in a lot of effort to make sure my SAT is a 1350+ so Im gonna be studying really hard this summer to achieve that. I also had a strong upward trend this year and finished off 2nd semester w all A's

Senior year Im gonna take AP stats and AP Psych

However I do have really stand out EC's my strongest one being Ive made a business that grossed 250 sales, and currently at 8.7k revenue. By times application roll around, Im projected to have 20k in revenue and 500 sales at least.

I have also donated resources like clothes, rice bags, to Syrian refugees

Working at a doctors office front desk since 2024, silver medal in national spanish exam, proficient in spanish (third lang) and arabic, tutored piano and violin to little kids and some other small things that are js mid

Im really hoping that my business can save me lowkey because its the only thing good I have going for me and Im wondering if anyone knows what colleges would be suitable for me. My parents won't let me go out of state for college unless if it has a really good reputation and is known, otherwise it's a waste for them and they won't let me. this is an issue bc those colleges are usually highly selective

Please help any advice is very much appreciated

Rising Senior Needing help

I am a rising senior and I come from a very middle eastern toxic household that just cares about getting married. I really want to get away, and go to college out of state but they will not let me and practically disown me if I try UNLESS if that said college has a very good reputation. Things like NYU, Umiami, UPenn, possibly even University of Tampa, USC, UCLA, etc. I never really cared about school freshman and sophomore year but it recently hit me last year I need to get my life together
I had around a 2.7 GPA freshman and sophomore year, and now after junior year I have a 3.2. I have taken AP Lang, AP Gov, and will be taking AP Psych and AP Stats in the upcoming school year. My GPA is not great but I do have an upward trend with me getting all A’s my last semester of junior year.
I don’t really have many extra curricular because of my families strictness and wasn’t allowed to play any sports or many activities. However, I was able to start my own e-commerce company which has over 38K followers on tiktok, 280K likes. I have reached 250 sales and made around 7.5k in revenue, I am projected to get around 400-500 sales by applications time too.
I also am proficient in Spanish, and I received a golden medal for the national spanish exam. I also speak Arabic fluently so idk if being trilingual helps but yea.
I plan on taking the SAT and hopefully getting a 1350+, but that may be difficult with the amount of time I have left.
I worked at a doctors office being front desk, made appointments, walked patients in their room, took blood pressure, and recorded symptoms.
I also tutored piano lessons to kids
I know I obviously dont have a great application but I’m wondering if anyone can give me some insight on what to do, because I really need to go out of state rather than the college my parents want me to go to, a 30 min commute everyday. Please help!
