Over the weekend, I met someone hanging out in a lesbian bar. I had a euphoric, queer night with them; we made out and had deep talks about our lives and interests over drinks. We are both abroad in Europe, but we both live in the same city back in the States. They had been brought up having a 'slow burn' a few times over the course of the night. I assumed that was meant to be a simmering romance through the rest of the summer/year. However, when we had sobered up later, we were discussing our concerns about a small age gap, and they said that 'we're are n different places(true), and looking for different things'. I don't know what they mean because I was looking forward to this slow burn. Was I wrong for taking them at their word, even if we were drunk? Or is there something else that I am missing?
They've already rejected me, so this is purely for future reference.
I use both mobile and desktop versions of tumblr but regardless I can’t send or receive messages like the feature doesn’t exist. This is screenshot of the top of my activity page, where my notifications and messages should be, but it’s just my notifs.
I can still send and receive asks, I can still post and reblog. It’s not limited to any particular user but site wide. Like I said it’s like the message feature doesn’t exist at all for me.
