_I've been replaying Anniversary lately, and decided to try modding! So basically, here's my story and if anyone else can relate then please lemme know:_
I grew up downright in love with Lara Croft. She seemed like the coolest person ever to me, the advertisements, the videos of her killing the T Rex, everything.
But as I reached my teenage years and finally got the chance to even play a Tomb Raider game.. I didn't. I honestly thought I was too stupid to solve any puzzles.
Then.. I did. This year, I tried Anniversary first. I fell in love with the Tomb Raider franchise. I did Anniversary, Legend, Underworld, 1 - 5, AOD, and 2013. I love. All. Of. Them. Even the mods, like the Dark City Mod.
I hit another roadblock with Underworld actually, because I have severe archbaphobia, and.. well. You know. But modding solved that! Led me down a rabbit hole of modding every game, even making my own mods of Lara in other games, like Tony Hawk's American Wasteland!
Though I never modded the game that made me fall in love with this franchise, Anniversary. Until today.
And oh boy.
I feel all giddy inside again!
And uh, yeah! I just wanted to know how other's ended up getting into the franchise <3 Personally I don't play games a ton, never did, my attention span has been awful ever since I was a kid, maybe I have something idk. BUTT. When I *do* get into a franchise?
I fall in love with it. And gosh, I know it sounds like I'm exaggerating, but getting into Tomb Raider has genuinely impacted me as a person in a major way. I feel like I can think more critically, analyze in more thorough way, and I'd argue the problem solving I've learnt cognitively has helped me in my psychology studies at college.
I fucking LOVE this franchise. And Tomb Raider Anniversary is hands down the best of them all.
Oh and the people in the community are, for the most part, absolute darlings <3
Can anyone help with this? Tbh I dont know why when setting up the texture slots in blender, some parts of some models become like, transparent? But turning on alpha cutoff usually just works

It's frustrating because literally other than this, I'm done with my mod ☹️
So.. When I started this project, I had 11 minutes in Steam on Blender, it just looked so overwhelming that I gave up.
Fast forward 2 years? These past few days I've gone up to about 40 hours. Yeah. Excessive.. I'm tired and kinda frustrated. And I honestly still barely know a thing about Blender.
I wanna mod a few characters into reTHAWed. I have such a passion for old school tomb raider, I have the games on pc with ripped files into fbx, I have a few xps models. I have the preset skater template dude that comes with the armature on the reTHAWed site. I've tried manual weight paint, and even moving each of the armature bones to match her body. I've tried SO much. I keep end up with her looking like.. this. There's this mod on the site done by doodoohead of Lara's Anniversary model. It looks like the ps2 model, no idea how to even get ahold of her ps2 model's despite having the iso's for ALL of the games, but nonetheless, theirs looks SO damn good. YOU GUYS HAVE SUCH GOOD MODS BTW. I just dont understand what to do here! A dude on YouTube named blakegriplingph posted a tutorial but I'm still confused! Why's his model fit the skater template so well, how does his model already HAVE an armature so he's able to pose him!? PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF CHEESE, HELP. I posted some pictures for comparison's sake if it helps on what the model's differences looks like.. (I'm currently using a model ripped straight from the PC version of Legend)
