Problems with Bambino since at least week 3, what can I expect support to say?

Edit to clarify my poorly worded post: I am already working with Breville support to troubleshoot why my Bambino is struggling with extraction. I’m not looking for help or feedback with that part of things.

After I was in contact with support, I decided to clean the shower screen, as that’s the only variable I haven’t looked at. After cleaning it off (there was a very small amount of residue on it), I flushed it with a little water, and noticed there were black flakes of the teflon that covers the grouphead in the water.

I’m specifically asking if anyone has had this issue with a new machine, and how support responded.

Apologies for the confusing way it was originally written.

Original Post:
I got the Bambino 2 months ago, have been having issues since at least week 3 with under extraction. I’ve done a ton of troubleshooting, and I’m waiting for testing beans from Breville to arrive, but now the group head has the teflon coating flaking off.

Has anyone experienced this and also go through this with support? They don’t seem eager to help, and I’m wonder how to expect them to respond. I’m not even comfortable testing beans when it means they’re brewing along with pieces of teflon.

Will they allow me to return it? I can’t imagine buying another Breville after my experience with it so far.

Online customer chat is always offline, I get an error when trying to submit a case online, and when I try calling, it says they’re closed, even though I’m calling at 2:40 PST and it says to call within 6am and 4pm PST. It then directs me to visit the US website.

I’ve emailed them the error message I’m getting from their website. Has anyone had luck reaching them any other way?

After two weeks of being plagued by sour shots and gaslit by my espresso machine, my pour over cups have stopped me from feeling like I’m going crazy.

I’ve been deep diving into good coffee for about 5 weeks now, and yesterday I finally opened this beautiful bag of Ethiopian Halo Beriti from Rogue Wave, and brewed an incredible tasting cup. These beans are so insanely good.

I then tweaked my recipe for their Granja Paradiso Decaf and got the results I wanted - less floral, more fruit forward.

If I didn’t rely on a morning latte as a protein boost I’d be tempted to ditch espresso entirely for pour over.

I can’t deep dive into vacuums (I mean, I absolutely could, but I can’t let myself), and I need a new one. I’m hoping I can get some recommendations from the people here who have deep dived so I don’t start the process and then end up with decision paralysis. My husband and I were looking at Dyson’s and I realized I should ask here first because there was probably much better information and options available.

I have a very sheddy ragdoll cat, a cocker spaniel, and a pre-teen.

Our house is a fairly small bi-level. We have stairs.

No carpet except an area rug in the basement.

Budget $700 (can stretch up to a max of $950).

From what I’ve seen here so far, I think i should be looking for a bagged canister vacuum, preferably a Miele or Sebo?

I can’t find the C1 Cat and Dog on the Miele website, but Bestbuy has it on sale for $650. Is that a good price? Any other obvious machines I should be considering?

Thanks!
