What's the most "Manipal" way to spend ₹500 on a Sunday?

Every time I ask people what they're going to do on a Sunday, the answer is almost always the same.

So I want to hear from peeps here

If you had ₹500 to spend this Sunday, whats would your plan be?

Asking because I'm putting together something this weekend and I'm curious if I'm completely off...

How has Udupi never tried this?

Why hasn't nobody in Udupi turned the whole monsoon mess into a proper plan yet?

For a place where people will willingly go out in the rain for chai, drives, beach scenes and whatever else, it’s kind of wild that nobody made an actual muddy monsoon event out of it. It feels like such an obvious next step.

So we booked a resort here and decided to test the theory next weekend, muddy football, tug of war, rain, food & drinks, bonfire, music, just a full outdoor mess in the best way possible.

Could go very right, could go very stupid. Both are fine.

If you wanna join lemme know ✌️

This is either a terrible idea or the most fun Sunday we'll have all month.

A few friends and I somehow ended up planning a treasure hunt across Udupi.

The plan is simple.

Get on a scooter. Follow clues. Go to places you've probably driven past a hundred times but never explored it enough.

Somewhere in between we'll probably discover a few hidden gems, meet some interesting people, and question why we thought this was a good idea in the first place.

The only thing you need is a scooter.

No entry fee. No boring speeches. No awkward icebreakers.

Just a bunch of people trying to make one weekend a little more memorable than the usual cafe → food → sleep routine.

Lemme know if you wanna pull up ✌️

Anyone else tired of every plan in Mangalore being "let's go for food"?

Everyone keeps saying "we should do something different this weekend" and then somehow we end up at a cafe again

So me and a few friends decided to actually do something different.

We're hosting a chill art evening this weekend.

Painting, arts & crafts, music, drinks, games, and a bunch of people hanging out and trying something new.

You don't need to be good at art.

Most of us aren't

Just show up, have fun, meet some new people, and make something.

Lemme know if you wanna pull up ✌️

Guys are there any small food businesses/home chefs here?

Looking to collaborate with home cooks, small food pages, dessert makers, snack creators and passionate chefs around Mangalore 👀

Not looking for commercial catering tbh, more interested in people who genuinely make good food and wanna grow/build something cool together.

If that sounds like you (or someone you know), drop a DM and I will reach out to you ✌️

Okay who else is tired of melting in Udupi??

So here's the thing, I'm hosting a private beachside night this weekend because honestly surviving this weather needs a whole resort at this point

Water activities, bonfire, food, drinks, music, random

late-night conversations, dancing, all of it.

Totally planning to enjoy stress - free and escaping the heat

for the day

Would love to host all of you from this Subreddit.

Lemme know if you wanna pull up.✌️

Last week at 3 PM I stepped outside and it felt like I walked into an oven.

Not the “haha it’s hot” kind.

The “why do I even live here?” kind.

Came back home, sat in front of the fan, and started thinking about childhood summers.

Water fights. Running around like idiots. Getting yelled at for wasting water.

And then it hit me 😮

why did we stop doing that?

Now it’s always dinner plans or coffee… and everyone just ends up on their phones anyway.

So we decided to try something different.

We’re putting together a super simple evening:

water gun fights, music, random games, a bonfire later, and just… zero pressure to be productive.

We found a really nice seaside venue for it, and somehow even got a beverage partner on board.

It’s happening on 9th May, 5 PM onwards.

Honestly, no idea how it’ll turn out,

but it already feels more fun than another dinner plan.

If you’ve ever had those chaotic childhood water fights, you’ll get the vibe.

If not… this might be a good time to start.

Just DM me for details or visit our Instagram page..
