I grow more and more convinced that Pitch Black II was just a fever dream of a delicious Dew variant I had years ago
Seriously, I love Pitch Black, but Pitch Black II will always remain the better drink in my memory. And as I recall one of my all time favorite Dews ever, if not my very favorite. It was so good, and it drives me crazy that not only is it likely to never return, but that Mountain Dew doesn't seem keen to ever repeat the idea of creating sour sequel variants of other established flavors. Or hell, why don't we get any more sour flavors in general? I know one of the Voo Dew flavors was sour, but that's pretty much the only other sour Dew they've done as I recall, and incidentally, I'd say that was easily the best of the Voo Dews as well.
Anyone else that had this delicious sequel flavor in 2005, miss it too? Do you remember liking it more than standard Pitch Black as well? And with so much time removed from its only run, is it feeling more and more like a fever dream that it ever even happened? Cuz lowkey it is starting to feel that way for me lol.
Metalocalpyse if it were Home Movies
Found this on YouTube and it had me dying. Thought many of you fellow Adult Swim fans might relate.
Next April Fools, Adult Swim should release the finished modern cut of the lost Aqua Teen episode, Boston
Any big Aqua Teen fan will be aware of the lost episode, Boston; lampooning the Boston bomb scare that arose due to their litebrites promoting the first movie in that city, it was banned before it could ever even air.
Years later, an unfinished cut leaked online, I thought it was funny, but the creators did not stand by that cut and were annoyed that version was leaked. Then, not too long ago, they showed another modern unfinished cut of the episode at a comic con or something of the like. I believe it was being worked on when the latest batch of 5 episodes came out and was intended to release with them, but it wasn't for whatever reason. You can watch someone's recording from their phone of the unfinished modern cut and it's even better than the first cut we had access to (though the nature of the recording quality leaves much too be desired of course).
I dunno if they ever intend to do any more new seasons of Aqua Teen or not, but at the very least, finally releasing a modern finished cut of the infamous lost episode would be an amazing surprise and wonderful final (at least for the time being) send-off to the beloved legendary Adult Swim series.
Not all pricing in gaming has gotten worse over time
Even without accounting for inflation from the early 90s, UFO 50 is a far better deal in every way, with so much more personality and unique concepts.
I know comparing what the indie market has done over the years isn't the same world as the AAA games, but it is still nice to see that some facets of the market aren't for the worse when it comes to the both the consumer's satisfaction and their wallets.
Steve Dildarian is at it again, releases Fred Has Problems to YouTube, if you've enjoyed The Life and Times of Tim or Ten Year Old Tom, then you should know exactly what to expect
I don't care what the name of the show is, I will always be on board with his same repackaged brand of humor and animation style.
Dear Pokemon Company: please have Koei Tecmo develop more Pokemon spinoffs immediately!
Seriously, both titles were homeruns for the franchise in my book. Super addictive and fun, arguably more so than most of the mainline games.
It's not even hard to imagine a Pokemon Warriors game at that, in fact I wouldn't be shocked if we see such a thing within like the next 5 years, given their history working with Nintendo for various Zelda Warriors games and the Fire Emblem Warriors game.
Note: Yes I'm aware Pokopia was developed specifically by Omega Force, but they are a division of Koei Tecmo.
When Warner and Paramount merge their streaming services, will they keep the HBO Max name, Paramount+ name, or go with a new name altogether?
My money says that HBO Max wins out. They've already stated that the HBO brand will live on as the prestigious entity it is. But at this point it's unclear if that just means for their productions or if it goes beyond that to the streaming service.
Having said that, Paramount+ as a streaming service does not come to my mind as in the top tier streamers, which include Netflix, Disney+/Hulu (soon to be merged themselves), Prime, Apple TV+, and HBO Max.
The tier below is where you see the services with not enough going on to be with the big guys and typically have far worse UI/navigation, this includes Peacock and Paramount+ at the top of this tier, but also shit like Tubi or Pluto.
Now, Paramount is the one buying up Warner, not the other way around; so they have the power to say, 'Everything is Paramount now,' including the streamer where you find all of the content. But I think that move would do more harm than good in terms of losing subscribers; and again, they recognize the weight of that HBO brand, which I wouldn't doubt played a part in why Max reverted back to being called HBO Max.
As such, I'd bet that HBO Max will remain the streaming name and UI after the merger. Especially when you consider how much more intuitive and user friendly the HBO Max app is over Paramount+.
