Digital Technology L3

I’m pretty sure my school actually calls it computer science but just in case, I’ll put a screenshot of the standards they do. But yeah I just came here to ask if I should take it next year without having taken it this year and would it be challenging to balance it with the other subjects I’m planning on taking (physics, chem, calc, and general science (I think also called earth and space?))

But yeah that’s it thanks!

Why do I hear students taking so many GCSEs?

Hii! For reference, I am from New Zealand and in my second to last year of high school. I think it's insane that you guys do around 11 papers! I'm just asking out of curiosity if that's like 11 seperate subjects or do you do 2-3 papers per subject which is more like how we do it.

Thanks!

Are Scipads any good for externals or even internals?

Hello! So I purchased Scipads for physics and chem level 2 and I barely seem to use them. I’ve done a few pages on the external ones but the internal ones have not been used at all. I’m just asking for future reference so I won’t waste my money on them again for level 3. Also, if there are some more useful textbooks out there for NCEA sciences and math please let me know.

Thanks!

WHY IS 2.1 CHEM SO HARD

Like conceptually I kinda understand it like why we need to do dilution first and get the dilution factor, but idk why I just can’t form a comprehensive answer to a question 🫪🫩

pls help literally any input would be great. Maybe just about things like key info to include, how to get excellence, and whatever my teacher meant by this formula 😭😭 (attached, CF means conical flask ik that much lol)

UC or UOA

Hello! I'm currently in high school and trying to figure out what university I should go to. For reference, I am from Auckland and I'm planning on doing engineering for uni. I've narrowed down my choices to UC and UOA.

I'm leaning towards UC right now, particularly because I found out that you can do a minor in Aerospace under Mechanical Engineering, which really interests me. UOA, from what I've heard at least, seems a bit too theory-focused and too broad (idk if that's the right word) with their programmes and specialisations.

But going all the way to Christchurch without knowing anyone seems daunting (plus the costs) and my parents aren't too keen on the idea of me leaving Auckland. They heavily recommend to just stay here and go to UOA, but I know they'll be supportive with whatever decision I make, I feel like they were just worried for me when I told them. So I'm just asking for opinions/experiences/advice relating to if it's worth it to go to UC, or if I should just stay in Auckland.

Thank you!

English level 2

helloo!! im just looking for advice on how to get excellences in english. i just did the 2.4 writing portfolio and got a merit so im pretty bummed as it was worth 6 credits. i understand their feedback which was mostly abt grammatical errors and stuff but i really want to get Es in english cuz it feels like im missing out on some easy credits. (doing 2.8 right now btw)

im also aiming for an E endorsement this year for level 2 but im feeling a bit discouraged as ive only gotten 3 excellence credits and im running out of internals to do 😭😭 im trying my best not to put too much pressure on myself but id also appreciate advice on how to get Es in these other subjects (internals and externals): physics, chemistry, math, and product design technology.

thank youu!! :))
