Post 3, get a recommendation!

I saw this in another group and love the idea! Post three thrillers that you've absolutely loved and people will respond with a recommendation for your next book that has similar styles/vibes!

Optional: post three dislikes so folks know your preferences!

I'll start with the first comment so folks can reply to it!

Trade a shou for a sheng?

I feel really guilty because my dear friend brought this beautiful cake of shou pu-erh directly from Taiwan when he was visiting me in the US and I tried some of it but as much as I want to, I'm just not a big fan of any shou or ripe or fermented pu-erh.

I love aged white or green anything! So I figured I would ask here if anyone wants me to send you this cake and we can trade for raw / green?

Also happy to just give to anyone, especially if you have difficulty accessing this kind of tea!

We should totally set up a tea exchange on this sub 💞

Slick City opening in Milford?

Does anyone know when Slick City Action Park is opening in Milford? There are two reviews from a few months ago but the most recent one and their website itself say it hasn't opened yet. Can anyone near there do some recon? 😅 (Not thrilled about the name but my kids love indoor slide/jump places)

Tracking hours

Hi all!

  1. What are you all using for time clock and working hours tracking for off-site/at home employees? (Actually, for your in office employees as well!)

  2. Do you verify reported hours by running audit trails to check clicks/use of software per user?

Thanks!

My aged white arrived from Atlanta!

I'm in heaven! I had an amaaaazing first-time experience with gong fu when I visited Atlanta and one of the very few things I had time to do besides the conference I was going to was to have a one hour tea experience at Wai's gong fu tea house. She was so caring and informative and peaceful! I went through this small aged white cake in like 2 months haha. I ordered another plus one that I haven't tried before and I'm so excited!!!!!

She sent two little gifts too!! 🥹 Silly question for everyone but I think it's time for me to get a tea pet as well. I have very limited counter space so where do you all place yours?

What doses for kids?

Please no discussion on whether or not to give to kids but I'd like to hear a range of what your 7-year-old (and other age) kids are taking. Ours has been on 25 mg for about 9 months and we are debating adding an extra 12.5. Thanks for all of your experiences!

PvP super buggy right now?

Is anyone's freezing and you have to restart the game five times and wait 10 minutes before it says that the battle cannot be found? It's been doing that today and yesterday. Thanks!

Wait...Aged white tea cake can be prepared gongfu or....30 minutes boiling???

I don't think I've ever seen such a difference in recommendation for very fine tea! I'm super new to gongfu and just had my first experience at Wai's Gong Fu Tea House in Atlanta during a visit (highly recommended btw!)

I was shopping online and found a site that had a lovely-looking aged white tea cake and the instructions said that you can either brew it gung fu style, 5 second wash, and then 10 to 20 second steeps, enjoying each one, with a lower water temperature, which sounded familiar.

But then it also said "boiling"method and I was aghast to see that it meant that you should BOIL the leaves for THIRTY minutes.

I feel both fascinated at the difference but also a tiny bit..... disillusioned?

How can I find tea be enjoyed seconds at a time at low temperature and yet also boiled for 30 minutes? The person at the gung fu house made it very clear that if it's steeped even over a minute the tea is basically ruined.

I knew it all this so I'm so fascinated to learn about all of the historical and cultural reasoning as well! White American lady here - assume I know nothing!

Small number of books for class project (photo site?)

Hi all! I hope this is the right sub for this (Happy to post elsewhere), But my kid's first grade class is doing a unit now on writing books and each of them have written several pages with pictures. The parents and I wanted to go in together to getting these printed with hardcover like your run-of-the-mill Shutterfly hardcover photo book, but I wanted to ask if you can recommend good websites that are cheap for just printing one book at a time? Even a generic photo site is fine but since most of them are more writing than photos I wanted to ask here! Thanks in advance.

I'm a business owner looking to rent some parking spaces from another business and I'm wondering what tends to be average in Somerville for this sort of arrangement? Note that both are businesses. The other owner is happy to let me draft something up with my lawyer but I'd love a starting point! Also, is it common for me to add that location to my general business liability policy?

Thanks!
