What do I need to know before getting into spearfishing?

I've been wanting to get into spearfishing but I'm not the best swimmer out there. I signed up for a private pool and have been practicing for a while now. I can comfortably float on my back and belly, and can swim up to 150m without struggling. My main struggle is treading water right now. I get tired pretty quickly (can not tread for longer than a minute) and that's been putting me off from spearfishing.

I have looked into snorkeling/free diving courses but they're in very high demand in my area (to the point its recommended to book a year in advance) and the prices aren't friendly at all ($500 for an entry level course).

I'd really like to know what more do I need before I'm actually ready as this is something I've been wanting to do for a while now and I'm really hoping to at least experience it once before the year ends.

How do I get started on projects?

I am on my second year of Software Engineering going into mid year break. I would like to start working on my portfolio so that I can start applying for interships this year. I know it'll be very hard to get an intership in my second year but I'd like to get started on my portfolio early at least.

The issue is I just don't know how to start a project. Do I only stick to stuff I know how to program? If not, how do I go on about learning new concepts, etc. I know I'm supposed to learn while doing the project but I just have no clue how to or what I'm required to learn. Do I need to do research beforehand? How much time should I realistically need to spend and how do I know if it's within my current experience/knowledge.

Any tips or help would be appreciated.

Picking any other adc would've won them game 5

I dont believe that 1-2 renekton nidalee was bad, for sure they could've gone naafiri instead but they still could've made the draft work. I think the main mistake was picking miss fortune. Mf simply looked so weak throughout the entire game even when they were "winning" skirmishes and hitting 4 man ultimates.

Literally pick Jinx like they did in MSI, give Chovy Hwei or take away the Sivir which was open throughout the entire draft :/ it's not that hard, nidalee does not need a twisted fate to be useful and geng has proven it in the past already.

This was a very frustrating loss.

Riot Endstep talks about the current state of top lane

Not too sure when he made this comment as I just came across it on tiktok, but damn his final comment is a letdown.

"Its a problem we might have to address at some point" meaning that balancing top isnt very high on riots priority list right now.

Hot take: GENG is struggling because the meta isnt suited for them

After today's showing in HLE vs GENG I'm 80% certain that the reason geng is "struggling" or some players appear to be underperfoming is due to the current meta.

Canyon cannot play bruisers, he needs to be on high mobility/carry champs to be proactive.

Duro becomes very asleep when he's playing enchanters, his Rakan was beautiful and I wonder what more he could do if he played melee supports more often.

Then Ruler, I don't necessarily think he's struggling to adapt, but its very clear that this is a very adc centric meta and geng rarely plays/prioritises bot. Even the weakside king (Gumayusi) has had to step up in HLE and take the role of carry (please stop trading Caitlyn Jhin).

I don't think it's a drafting issue, but it does seem like geng hasn't been able to play much comfort, at least in the case of Duro and Canyon (it does look like Canyon is being allowed to play carry champs more often tho so thats a good thing, and hopefully after today Duro can start playing more melee/engage champs).

Why would they pick Zeus over Kiin

I'm so tilted and pissed off over this. I don't want to send any hate to anyone but it's so frustrating.

Since last year and arguably 2024 Kiin has been outperforming Zeus for 95% of the year. I struggle to see what the argument in favor of Zeus was or what the criteria is. Regardless of Kiin's loss in First Stand and his slow start this split he overall just seems like the far better choice for the Asia games.

Hopefully he can win worlds this year and go out in a big explosion at least.

I've read the entire manga about three times and every single time I've stopped at Wano and instead watched the anime (One Pace) unless something big happened such as G5. I simply cannot understand whats going on in every page anymore, his strokes and drawings are so cluttered I struggle to even differentiate characters. I love his art up until Whole Cake Island but idk what happened after that.

Do people like this new style more or is it simply easier for him this way?
