Squad Call-in system in Battlefield 6 would be AMAZING

This feature added so much depth to squad play and playing the objective in BFV. It was incredible getting a squad, entering flow state and grinding those points to finally use them on the big ass rocket to clear the final objective you've been trying to take for 10 minutes.

In BF6, modernized version of this would be incredible. The ultimate call-in is a Tomahawk missile. The vehicle may be another MBT, a fire support vehicle like the Stryker MGS or a large MRAP that could tank some heat with like 5 separate machine gun positions. And add obligatory smoke barrage etc.

You could also give squads in the losing team 1.5x bonus points to act as the "behemoth" to help them get back into the game if they are losing by a certain margin.

Thoughts?

Why Battlefield 6 needs dynamic weather back!

Dynamic weather in BF games since 1 have been one of the most innovative, immersive and variety adding features in this series. Same map would feel very different 10 minutes into the match, adding to the atmosphere. It's easy variety without adding new maps!

Imagine Tsuru Reef under a thunderstorm like we had with Pacific Storm in BFV. Fog comes in to Contaminated (stop with cringe names btw) and limits sniper usage. Sand storm rolls into Cairo. Windy rain in Golmud with bluish tones... The combinations are limitless.

This would not only be incredibly iMmeRsiVe, it would also add to the gameplay variety in the game. Rain might pick up while attacking the next sector, and it might clear in the next game.

We've been asking about this since launch. I know it must not be easy, but it would be amazing to have this in the best Battlefield we got since BF1.

Addressing what is ACTUALLY needed for the reticles, ONCE AGAIN

With the recent Q&A we got confirmation that they are working on the reticles. Great news, but I have very little hope for some reason. So I wanted to point out what exactly is needed, once again, if by any chance dice reads this.

#The Illumination

How to make reticle stand out in both dark and light conditions? Make a dark outline, and have a very small almost white dot in the middle, giving the apparence of illumination while standing out against all backgrounds.

#The Size

The size of reticles in game is another huge issue that should be changed, or given the choice to the player.

Current sizes of reticles are huge. 90% of the reticles in this game are unusable due to the MOA of the dots. Even the 1x everyone loves to use due to thin housing has a huge reticle which obstructs targets and makes it very unsatisfying to aim with.

Reticles should be made a lot smaller. This will allow for more precise shooting even with red dots and holo sights. This has a very big impact on how gunplay feels.

#The Translucency

Reticles should be made translucent to not obstruct targets even if they are small enough. Again, if dice gives players sliders on opaqueness, illumination and size, these issues will all be fixed.

Please feel free to add what else needs to be done for reticles if I missed any.

Have access to a lab in uni? Heatsink cleaning!

Wow the post title rules are very strict. This is a suggestion on how to deep clean heatsink fins.

I have a 2024 Legion Pro 5i. I work in the labs in my uni. I don't know how I had not thought of this before.

We have these big pressurized tanks of noble gas. Some are connected to these airguns where you pull the trigger to release air, at a very high pressure.

As you all should know, fans and heatsinks love to get clogged with dust. Many people clean the fans but I'm sure most people don't know they should clean their heatsink fins as well. To check whether you have a clog or not, shine a flashlight through the fans and look from the exhausts. You will see all the dust accumulation inside. If you can't see the light, you need to clean the heatsink ASAP.

Normally I use one of those temu motorized air blowers which don't really produce much pressure. It did the job but I would still have some clogs, here and there, of small dust balls.

To give you a perspective of how strong the air pressure in the tanks are, when I didn't hold the laptop down, the pressure literally moves the laptop itself. When doing this it's VERY important to hold down the fans with your hands. you DO NOT want the fans spinning with that pressure at the opposite direction they are designed to spin at. You could easily kill the fans.

I held down the fans, blowed the strongest air I've ever seen and the agglomerated dust balls were coming out. I was not able to do this using anything else.

Let this post be a reminder for you to clean your fans and heatsinks. And if you have such access to pressurized air, use it to deep clean the laptop. It was such a relief for me to get those dust balls out after like 2 years.

[BF6] This game is good.

We do like to complain about many things. Game does have its issues.

From very poorly designed UI, blurry and huge, target concealing optic reticles, recoil mechanics taking control of your input (the recoil literally messes with your input which is unlike any other game) etc.

But the game is good, fun. Anyone who played 2042, even at its CURRENT state not launch, knows that BF6 is a lot better of a game.

I personally took a break from BF6 when Tarkov 1.0 launched and came back after 3 months. Game felt great to come back to. Taking a break really helps you appreciate the game for what it is.

Once the required improvements are made, this might be the best Battlefield game since BF1 which came out more than 10 years ago now (wow).

It's ridiculous how we still don't have crisp and illuminated red dot reticles in Battlefield 6

Seeing the summer sale for MWII I picked it up mostly for the story. Upon testing out the optics in this game I am amazed at how much worse BF6 feels in terms of optic reticles. They are dark, dim, fuzzy and obscure targets. Look at these reticles in MWII: Illuminated, crisp, small.

Pictured optics are Aimpoint T-1, Trijicon SRO and Aimpoint ACRO which are all in BF6 as well.

I know there will be some saying that "cHangiNg cOLoR iS aN opTiON". Go ahead and show how much you don't know.

DICE Please do something about the reticle issue.

This showcases the problem quite well, has been an issue since the beta and the color option solved like 3% of the problem. https://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield/s/3ODIxt3dst

Thick Reticles Are Hurting BF6 Gunplay

I feel like this issue is not talked about enough.

Battlefield 6’s reticles genuinely hurt the feel of the gunplay right now, and I think a lot of people feel it even if they can’t immediately explain why.

The current reticles are too thick, too dim, and too visually heavy. Instead of helping precision, they cover the target and make weapons feel less accurate than they actually are. A tiny reticle dot can completely change how satisfying a gun feels.

I’m not asking for airsoft optics like Coyote from BF4. Just give players options:

  • Reticle size slider
  • Glow/brightness slider
  • Maybe even opacity settings

BF4 had this over a decade ago. Removing player control over something this important feels like a downgrade.

People spend hundreds of hours looking through these sights. The reticle design absolutely affects how good the gunplay feels.
