could mumbai beach be any better ?

wanted to show what mumbaikars are missing out..

pic 1 is taken in Chennai..

pic 2 is taken in Mumbai..

both are in india.. look how pathetic mumbai beach is..

this post is not for comparison between cities, but to show what you guys are really missing out on.. while i understand that tide issues and "cleaning up is hard part", the richest city in india should be able to solve this issue..

this sucks man.. last week i visited mumbai for the first time, and with the city being fancy i expected the beach to be better than Chennai in all fronts.. what followed was pure terror, it was a nauseating experience, it freaking smelled terrible, looked terrible, i could see people everywhere casually throwing plastics, and contrary to my belief i can see people hanging around the polluted beach as if THIS IS NORMAL.

THIS IS NOT NORMAL.. THIS COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN ONLY IF CITY IS BLIND OR IN A FAILED COUNTRY..

if need be shutdown few parks, and focus on the beach.. if needed the corporation could do a clean drive every singleday using machines, the corporation should be rich af anyways..

i really wish you guys do something abt this, it really was heartbreaking for me to see a beach this bad.. and people normalizing this.. we could do alot better guys!!

is it like the more we go north, the more dishes they mix up ghee with !?

hey guys,

im from tamil nadu, I already have hard time in finding native vegan dishes.

however, after 4 years I think ive found dishes enough to keep me healthy (i guess). i however had fraustrating experience with mumbai. i went to multiple buffet in hotels, conference, or even airport lounge. i was able to have in total one or two max dishes in any place.. this was pissing me off like anything, and heard from few north indian coworkers that in places like gujarat or punjab it extremely rare to find a vegan main course natuve dish, is that true ?

can you guys share your story ? maybe we should compile list of native vegan dishes that would soo cool..

Reading Circle Meetup - RJ Ananthi, June 14

tldr in the end.. and headsup it's a bit long as i've covered few of the stuffs we discussed in the meet..

Edit: event happened on June 13, 2026 and the venue was zostel, anna nagar. typo in the title..

hey guys, thought to share a review of today's Reading Meetup with RJ Ananthi.. ive been to couple to meetups similar to this just to listen to people's stories.. im one of those guys who likes hearing people's stories... soo here's my honest take on what was really really good.. (and what sucked..)

personally, i haven't followed Ananthi much.. but whenever i find her with mic in some random clips, she sounds sooo humble, soft spoken and sensible..

today was very much like that.

the meetup started with her and a theraphist sharing the stage and with the latter explaining her book.. the theraphist was good, but considering the books i read and her suggestions felt pretty basic (with few suggestions that could have been handled better, just my personal thoughts), although it definitely would be an eyeopener for some.. she basically gave us a group theraphy session lol.. people there shared their trauma, and she kinda gave theraphy responses to them... she definitely is a good theraphist.. reinforcing good practices..

i personally felt Ananthi put the best icing on top of what theraphist says towards the person with the question.. Ananthi adds like only 3 lines which is like the best 3 lines anyone could say to help them.. she could very well become one of the best theraphists ig.. i would def go to her if she ever starts a clinic lol.. anyways, i suffer from cptsd, and had few ppl triggering me with their stories.. sucked, but yeah it went like that for 1hr30mins ig.. after which the og theraphist left..

nows it's just Ananthi and us.. damn she was spot on with her points, she was polite and humble.. it should have went really really good.. except...

she let peps ask her questions.. bro almost everyone started fan-girling her, with few sharing how they are idolizing her.. wish they would have not done that as "a very few of us" came just for the readers club and not for hearing those fan girl stories.. funny enough she kinda answered this too..

like we have to learn to take compliments, like the hard part is sharing complements, bt the hardest part is accepting them and taking it wholly in.. like she takes in the compliments as in from what the others mean and not down play it or amplify it any more.. and it was followed by other peps questions to which she responded with few more interesting perspective and life hacks which was cool and spot on.. one such was, its okay to vent out anger in a safe space.. she talked her personal experiences around it..

and with that and similar stories the "book meetup" ended.. with tea end (pronounced as - the end!!)

throughout the meetup, only the time felt as a constraint, and to me this fan-girling thing, which i doubt if anything could be done, she accepted those compliments gracefully, witty and humbly.. it felt like she had a lot more to offer but we ran short of time.. in the end, we took pics, and i told her she's someone i look up to, and wish she keep doing what she does.. as always she was sweet enough and thanked me for it..

here's a funny incident, i was supposed to share a book recommendation onto a separate camera outside for which she reminded me like 3 times throughout the session.. my book recommendation was gonna be "I'm glad my mom died ", only after realizing what i got myself into, i planned to backtrack.. (if you read this someday Ananthi, really sorry for letting you down 😐😐) yeah, i really really didn't want my family hear me saying "I'm glad my mom died!", whilst her being alive (or in this instance ever).. and i doubt if TN's ready for my insta comeback yet.. thankfully the camera guy taking the book review left by the time i reached there to give the review.. yay!

here's one another sweet thing i noticed,

so some peps were getting their books signed after the event, there was this girl who i sat close to got hers signed and was moving away from Ananthi whilst others were getting their books signed.. suddenly Ananthi called the girl back WITH HER NAME, reminding she left her pen with her.. i was just shocked how she was able to remember the girl's name and call her out.. could be due to the girl asking Ananthi to sign many of her books.. bt still ngl calling out the girl by her first name sounded sweet, she came all the way from a different state just to meet Ananthi, so calling her with her name, though it sounds pretty basic, it was nice of her..

conclusion (TLDR;)

i paid 499INR to attend a book club hosted by one of the smartest and humble people ive seen on cam - RJ Ananthi.. it was worth it.. could have been much more worth if people had not been fangirling her.. RJ Anathi is definitely smart, humble, witty and a polite celebrity.. ig we would be better off people idolizing her than some actors.. she said she'll try to host events like this every month do watch out in her ig page..
