Pimax Dream Air SLAM tracking issues, any fix?

Has anyone successfully fixed their bad tracking in the Pimax Dream Air SLAM? As seen in the video, my headset has problems staying centered. It constantly drifts around with small movements making it really uncomfortable to use.

I've tried so many things that support have suggested, as well as things I've seen on reddit and it's getting me nowhere. I've spent more time trying to fix this headset than actually use it, and it's been months now.

Things I've tried include QR codes, covering up monitor and shiny surfaces, changing lighting frequency, turning off lights, changing USB ports and display ports, disabling HAGS, using process lasso, using an IR light, adding exclusion to windows defender. I've even had a replacement headset that has the exact same issue.

My Quest and Galaxy XR has 0 issues here. If anyone has any fixes I've not mentioned, I'm all ears, as Pimax support seem to have no fixes themselves. At this point I have a very expensive paper weight. I have a 5090 and 9850X3D CPU.

Steamlink FPS question

OK so when I use SteamVR with my wired Dream Air headset, in Flightsim I am able to set refresh rate to 90Hz and game FPS to 45FPS and have a very smooth experience (No motion smoothing used, just frame rate cap in game). However, using Steamlink with the Galaxy, it stutters like crazy unless I can hold the same FPS as my refresh rate. I can get 72FPS but it drops to around 60/65 quite a lot, making the game stutter alot. Is there a reason for this or any way I can play at half the refresh rate with smooth performance?

My Dream Air has bad tracking, so I'd rather use my Galaxy if this is possible.

Steamlink Blurry Image after removing / putting on the headset

Ok so using Steamlink, I'm noticing the image is fine but when I first use it. When I put it back on the image is super blurry and I have to restart the game / Steam. Anyone else get this or have a fix? Looked into keeping the screen on, but people have reported OLED burn in so would rather find a better fix.

Dream Air image shifting when head moves

I have a Pimax Dream air and having major problems with the image shifting with the slightest head movements. Using the Pimax default driver it's quite bad, even in menus the slightest head movement makes the image slightly move in the opposite direction.

I'm now using the Sboy3 driver which does lessen the issue slightly, it's less sensitive using this driver. However, it does still happen. From keeping my head stationary, if I move my head left, the image shifts to the right and so on. It gives a very floaty experience and is effecting my balance when not wearing the headset. Has anyone else experienced this or have any fixes? I'm sure it's a software issue given that the experience changes when using different drivers. Pimax support has been pretty useless, blaming CPU load when I already told them it happens in the home screen before even loading a game.

Steam Link still working?

Hi guys. I tried setting up Steam Link 2.0 but when I launch it, it just hangs and never loads. I know people say the XR update stopped it working. Just wondering if there's a version that DOES still work?

Been using VD, but I'm finding the controllers to be sluggish with VD. There's a very slight delay in movement. But that delay is not there when using the headset normally. Makes playing shooting games feel a little awkward with the delay. My latency is fine, this happens even on the desktop before I've even launched a game. Hoping Steam Link would perform better in this case. Thanks

Recommended router?

Can anyone recommend a router at a good price? I had the TP-Link BE9300 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router, however I found it kept connecting to 6E not 7, and latency in Flight Sim was around 60, but other games around 30. Looking for something that can force wifi 7 I guess?

Need help with Steam VR Cockpit moving

Need help with Steam VR in MSFS2024. Every time I use Steam VR my cockpit moves around me whenever I move my head. If I look left, the cockpit moves right, and so on. I have a Pimax Dream Air and I’m trying to use the Sboy3 driver with steam, but this making it unplayable.

I have tried disabling motion smoothing etc but nothing seems to work. I get the same effect when using Synchronus Spacewardpin Virtual Desktop, but in VD I can just disable it and it works perfectly. Any ideas? I get this with steam no matter what headset I use…
