I am 33 and starting a brokerage account for earlier retirement (45 to 55, not sure). I will be doing 30%VOO 30%VTI 20% VXUS 10% AVUV 10% VGT. Good? Already have more than a 100k in there. 401k maxed out every year as well.

Long story short. Millennial, grew up poor, parents never thought me about investing (they don’t even have a savings account). I finally educated myself last year and put quite a bit of money in VOO, VTI, VXUS and VGT. It has been nice seeing the growth. I wish I had done it sooner as I had the ability, but nobody around me really talked about investing, and I just didn’t know better. Now I have the ability to put away between 100 and 150k in the stock market, but the “we’re in a bubble” statements are making me think maybe I should put that money into the mortgage or spend it another way.

Anybody have a good experience with job placement services like Top Resume? I am concerned their coaches would not have a lot of biotech industry knowledge.

I have over 1100,000 Marriott points, 0.5 M Hilton points and 400K Hyatt points. My anniversary is next year at the end of June. Where should I go? I was debating maybe using the points for Marriott Homes and Villas instead of hotels. I’m interested in the mountains or a colder city, not a tropical vacation. Hoping to get the best use of points and have a once in a lifetime experience with my spouse.

No money given to me from mommy and daddy. Born in Croatia, parents struggled to pay bills growing up making less than 2k combined per month. About to turn 34 and have 0.6 M in net worth. I might have an option to relocate soon with my work - I just need to be close to a major airport. Do you have advice for a city that has a good airport, but also close to many trails? My total comp is 300 k per year. I am open to renting (3k max) or buying (would not be comfortable with more than 650k at this point, I will probably need to support my parents when they are fully retired as they live in Croatia and their pensions will not be sufficient). I also have an autoimmune disease so medical specialists around are a must.
