And I made a regular and an evil version

This is going to be a little longer one, but I'll try my best to describe what my brain cooked up in my sleep after I've been rewatching a bunch of Matt's videos these past few days.

I was sitting at a bus stop waiting for the bus to arrive when I was recommended one of Matt's videos, which I, of course, clicked. In it, he briefly mentions the American thrash metal band "Toad Stool" (named after amphibian excrement, not Super Mario furniture or mushrooms) in passing. After getting wind of this, CNN of all places decided to make a collaboration between the two happen. They thought Matt would be a good fit for a song from this band because he, and I quote, "adds a certain desirable Britishness" to the vocals. Of course this feature was going to be recorded near the bus stop I was sitting at.

When Toad Stool's frontman arrived, he looked like what I can only describe as Fred Durst ca. 2002, but bald and with a permanent green-ish tint applied. Matt himself looked like he always does, but something about him reminded me of VSauce in the dream; I don't know why. To record their masterpiece, they sat down at a kitchen table opposite of each other, outside on the sidewalk next to the bus stop, and used the stereotypical standing podcast microphone to record (the image I made that you can see isn't entirely accurate to my dream; I'm just not good enough at Photoshop to make them both sit at a table, apparently). While I don't exactly recall what the song sounded like or how the lyrics went, it was most definitely not a thrash metal song and more like a slow ballad. This is where the part of my dream involving Matt ended.

I've been trying to piece together where some of the elements in that dream came from. I think "Toad Stool" might be a reference to 'Emergency Frog Situation," and the "desirable Britishness" may be a reference to the video where Matt says that things are improved by being read with his English voice. The Fred Durst-like character could be because Matt mentioned Limp Bizkit lyrics in one of his videos, I think? I'm not sure what all this means and if I should seek help, but that definitely scales at a solid 7/10 of the weirdest things I've dreamt.
