two of my favourite songs ever are concorde and basketball shoes. does anybody have recommendations?

I listened to ants from up there at the beginning of the year and nothing I have heard since has lived up to it, it's the best thing i've heard since the new sound, I think I actually like it more... I listen to it almost every single day on the walk to and from uni, cant get enough of it! it makes an hour feel like five minutes...

these two songs are my favourites off it, and just in general. does anybody have recs?

i really like issacs voice, and in basketball shoes i like how its, like, progressive(?) its like three really good songs in one, with such a cilmax. in concorde I like the overall story of the song, and the way issac says the lyrics, but one thing I like about bcnr in general is how they have like jazz/classical instruments, if that makes sense? I also like the place where he inserted the blade

how can I start really making the music that I want? music that's more traditionally "musical"?

ive been producing for a while now, and I think im alright at it. but the music I make, it isnt what I want to make. this is because im alright at sound design and stuff, but Im not very good at the musical aspect of it. so, I could make something decent in several EDM subgenres, where I can get away with letting the sound design carry me, but what if I want to actually make a beautiful song? what if I want to make a composition that you might hear in a video game or anime?

any anime with a similar setting to fmab?

I love love love and adore the setting of fma. I like the military setting, I always like when its in that sort of early 1900s(?) era of weapons and stuff, I like the trains, I like how it's similar to real life but also still fantasy? like how it has fantastical and magical elements but its still very much realistic, in a way. to give an example of something else I like that is somewhat similar would be attack on titan, specifically outside of paradis. I like the kind of old german(?) military state aesthetic, and also how in some areas it feels almost steampunk-ish in a way? not really, but kind of the same feeling...

im kind of rambling, but picture the general setting of fmab, I want something like that! on a visual and aesthetic level. and ofc this is anime recs, but if you happen to know anything thats not anime thats similar, im really open to anything!

im watching something that says you should get to a point where you could play any major 7, minor 7, or dominant 7 in a few seconds. how should I practice this?
