I'm honestly sick of battling with Nintendo's awful peer-to-peer online system, which is easily the worst thing about this game. I've lost 50 X Power this season to random disconnects at a three-bar internet connection. Can we please get some servers for Splatoon 4?

As someone who played the game for two years before getting online, Splatoon 4 should absolutely come with a code for 3 free months of Online, because even if Story Mode is fun, it's not $60 worth of content.

Here's a list of things you cannot do without Online in Splatoon 3:

-Play matches. (Duh.)

-Claim Nintendo News cosmetics or even what you get from Alterna.

-Customize your splashtag or clothing.

-Unlock any weapons beyond the Splattershot.

-Play Tableturf.

I don't care if it's "poor for business", Nintendo needs to have some respect for their customers on this front and not lock 90% of the game past an additional transaction.

Besides, Splatoon could be SO MUCH BIGGER if it came with a code for 3 months of free Online. Not only would this give people a reason to buy it, it would also show people Splatoon's actual gameplay without requiring another transaction past the $60 game. With the rise of F2P shooters, many people don't see the point in paying $60 AND a subscription just to play a game with the reputation of "baby's first shooter".

And it's not like this would be out of the blue. Nintendo pushed free Online with Mario Party Jamboree, a primarily couch co-op game. It'd make even more sense for them to repeat this with Splatoon, since Splatoon is an actually online-oriented game.
