Thank You Apple reviewers!

I can’t believe it. I submitted my app on Tuesday morning 01:00 am, expecting a long waiting time and maybe a few cycles. But a few minutes ago I look at my phone to see this.

That’s a timeframe from submitting the App into approved of 1 day and 18 hours.

Thank you to the apple review team, you all rock 🤘

I started building a cycle tracker, and ended building a companion app

Hello Reddit!

A while back I overheard some friends complaining about their cycle tracker apps — paywalls creeping in, and in some cases companies caught selling their users' medical data. So I thought building a simple tracker that keeps everything on-device with no cloud would be a piece of cake. Boy, was I wrong.

Let me introduce you to Noralia. The original goal was a simple but beautiful cycle tracker for my friends. Thanks to a lot of good ideas along the way, it grew well beyond that. Today Noralia tracks and predicts your cycle, and also logs mood, sleep, energy levels and private notes, with an overview of how your mood develops over time. It can summarize your entries and combine them with your body data to help you spot patterns you might never have noticed. There's also a section for reminders, plus settings to reset, back up or restore your data. No account required, and all the day-to-day features are free. A small in-app upgrade unlocks a widget, longer predictions and a few extra functions.

During development I got a lot of feedback and even more questions, so I kept building and thinking about how to bring all those ideas together in a way that makes sense without bloating the app. That's how I landed on adding a chat.

Since privacy was the whole point, and I still wanted the content to be genuinely good, I decided against a free-text LLM agent and went with a more classic token-based chat instead. That gives me much tighter control over the conversations while keeping them private. There's still some testing ahead, but Noralia can already handle most conversations and offer advice and tips on things like feelings, provide a bit of inspiration, help you wind down for sleep, and even suggest comfort-food recipes for cold winter evenings or quick healthy (or not-so-healthy) snacks.

I'm pretty proud of how it turned out, and hugely grateful to everyone who has helped with feedback and testing so far. I hope to release the chat feature soon.

In the meantime I'd really love more feedback, so if you're looking for a tracker, or are just curious, please give it a try and let me know what you think. You can also learn more here.

Thanks for reading!

My first app is a medication tracker!

Hello everyone!

I recently had a phase where I was required to take a medication every other day and obviously I forgot it here and there. Since I always wanted to take the leap and build an App, I decided to build my own reminder.

It’s way past me needing that medication now, but I finally released Medifix just recently. It’s designed to be a simplistic tracker that lets you create various schedules for your medications and receive reminders via regular notifications or even critical notifications that can break through silent mode. It comes with analytics and because I think it is important to value privacy, the app has no account, no cloud and your data is stored on your phone only.

If you have a family member, relative or any other person where you need to track their medication intake, there is an optional caregiver mode. This private share lets you track the intake status of the medication of your relative and allows you to set individual notifications on that for yourself.

The core functionality to track an unlimited number of medication for yourself is 100% free. A premium mode lets you enhance the functionality and the caregiver mode comes with a super small subscription fee to cover my costs.

You can get the app here following this URL. It’s available for both Android and iOS.

I would really love to hear your feedback and listen to things you like or dislike so that I can keep improving the app.

My first app just got accepted!

What a journey!

I've been building Medifix, a medication reminder since ages and it it took a lot of learning to understand how everything plays together. It was a big moment to finally press the button and with Google accepting my app already over a week ago (Apple took ages with multiple attempts!) I am now finally live.

What a day!

If you want to give it a shot: https://mintlane.io/medifix/get will direct your straight to your store. I'd love to get some feedback!

Changing the IAP image before the first approval

Hello fellow devs!

I have a strange problem that I can't find a solution for. My App review was rejected because of a duplicate (optional!) image on the In-App-Purchases. I located it and wanted to change it, however, this icon field is greyed out for me. I have tried to remove the purchase from sale, multiple devices, but whatever I do, I cannot get this to unlock. The official documentation states I should hover over it, but still nothing happens. Also this item is still "Waiting for review" due to it being the first submission.

Did anyone ever experience something like this? I relpied to the review and asked them for help, but maybe someone of you has a new idea how to solve this?

Medifix – the medication reminder that respects your privacy

I built Medifix with a strong view on privacy. There's no account, no sign-up, no email. Your medication list, dosages, schedule, and intake history live only on your phone.

The one optional feature that touches a server is caregiver-sharing (if you want a family member to see whether you took your meds) - but that is fully encrypted and only accessible to whoever you want to. No ads, no tracking, no analytics SDK watching what you do in the app.

What it does:

  • Reminders with follow-up and critical alarms
  • Easy confirmation of a dose, full history with stats
  • Flexible planning modes and ad-hoc intakes

What I'd love feedback on:

  1. Does the setup feel as frictionless as I hope? You should be at your first reminder in under a minute.
  2. Try it with your real medication schedule, including the awkward ones (every other day, 3x daily) — where does it get annoying, or break?
  3. If you've used other medication apps, does anything here feel like it's missing because I skipped account-based features (backup, multi-device sync without caregiver mode, etc.)? I made a deliberate tradeoff there and want to know if it's the wrong one.

Happy to receive constructive feedback!
