BRN Proto

Just won this rifle on Gunbroker for 1825 dollars. These are the listing photos. I have bought it either way, but do you guys think this was a good call? I pulled the trigger thinking I rarely have seen these on sale, and the proto uppers are extremely hard to find and are about 1100 by themselves. I would go well with my other three H&R Retro clones

My Retro collection so far

I recently moved and got all guns together at one time and had the opportunity to take a photo.my collection so far:

H&R XM16e1.

H&R 604/605 -> cut down to 605 length, still has rifle length gas unlike the new off the shelf H&r, and now green furniture. Flashhider pinned and welded. All work done by John Thomas at retro arms works. He is great.

H&R 607 Sbr.

I am attempting to add a BRN Proto right now to my collection but we will see if that works out.

They are all great rifles, I am also thinking about purchasing a FRT for at least one of them. It seems that it might be tough to adjust the 605 correctly though since its a custom job with a rifle gad and opened port. I am currenlty waiting on a partisan disrupter frt for my B&T APC10. If that goes well itll be retro time next.

You can also see the gray color getting lighter with each rifle.

APC 9 PRO

Recently I received my normal sales email from Atlantic firearms, to my surprise it featured B&T products this time. If anyone is looking for an apc9 pro, they have them in stock as of this posting

Going price seems to be about 2950 bucks. Idk if that's reasonable these days, but it seems like it to me. I have bought some retro m16 products from them in the past. This is just a heads up.for anyone.looking for one, especially our virginia friends with their new law suspended at least temporarily. Delete if inappropriate.

Quick shooting review H&R 607

I finally got permission from the ATF to put my 607 together and had time to get it engraved. I took it to the indoor range. Its a small, only 25 yards but it was ok for a sight in and a few quick shots. I sighted In using a tripod and it only took a few adjustments to the vertical (3 clicks up) to get sighted in. I then shot 40 rounds and put 20 rounds though my B&T apc223 just as a comparison. The sight picture is good and I found it easier to shoot with the stock extended. The metal end isn't as comfortable as a standard stock. It actually reminded me of shooting my apc223 with a tailhook brace. A similar metal feel. The rifle itself seemed extra loud and maybe ill look into buying a moderator. It shot well but it certainly had some recoil that affected my ability to stay on target. I do have to say it is extremely fun to shoot. I also am not an accomplished shooter so I had some difficulty with my groupings. That being said compared to my apc223 it is significantly less polished although a clone of a 65 year old experimental rifle to a luxury short piston sbr isn't necessarily fair. I really recommend it though. It is so much fun to shoot and no one else has one on the range. Ill have to bring it out with my xm16e1 and my 605 and give you guys an update.

Apc10 30 round 10mm magazine spring name

While attempting to clean my b&t extended 30 round 10mm mag I loosened the floor plate too fast and the small detent pin and spring shot out. I found the pin but not the spring. I have been looking for a diagram to try to buy another spring. Does anyone know what this spring is called or a b&t number? I did already send a contact email to b&t parts but who knows if they'll answer. A picture of the small hole for the spring is added below

I am attempting to find a foldable m4 buffertube adapter for my apc223 which I think i would have to switch the buffer out on or the metal one which i think is listed as the m4 adapter alloy apc308 and it seems only to be in stock at b&t parts. Has anyone received anything recently or is it a gamble to attempt to order a product?
