Taking leftovers home on the first date - bad look?

Is it a bad look to take leftovers home on a first date?

My parents both insisted it should never be done. My dad said it's not classy and gives a guy the wrong impression. He couldn't really articulate what impression that would be, lol. But in their mind it's just poor taste to do so, and they were adamant.

Is this a generational thing?

If I loved the meal and there's plenty leftover, I don't see anything wrong with taking it home. I thought a man would perhaps see that as a green flag that I'm not wasteful or didn't appreciate the meal? But mostly I just never thought twice about it.

What's the consensus here?

Is anyone in a volleyball league at Columbus Tustin Rec Center?

I’d like to join an upcoming league but haven’t been able to get in touch with league organizers and don’t know anyone who plays there to see if there’s a team I can join.

Anyone have any info or looking for an additional team member?

36F, have played indoor and beach for many years, can set but best in the back row

Thanks!

how many days weed free? let's celebrate each other!

day 12 for me. i've had about four big crying sessions, and a ton of weird/disturbing/emotionally heavy dreams in those 12 days. also a lot of naps.

Anyone else had their third brake light ripped out in a drive through car wash?

The design seems to lend itself to this happening quite easily so I can't imagine I'm the only one?
