What do you buy to setup your new planner?

I'm preparing for buying next year's A5 HON, but I'm on a budget and have found in the past that after I see all of the setup videos, I often think "oh I should do that too" only for my budget to prevent me from doing so (and by the time I can afford it, it's not worth the effort).

I won't use any monthly/weekly kits because those areas need to be purely practical, but the rest of my planner can be as fun as I want! I've always wanted to have a fun and beautiful planner, and I'm hoping this year I'll get that by planning ahead (no pun intended 😜)!

Usually I get tabs (midori chiratto, but I'm thinking of trying some cousin-specific tabs with the different sections listed - recommendations welcome), some decorative stickers for inside/outside of the cover and a clear cover. I'm hoping for some other fun and decorative elements, but I'm not sure what I could do.

Also are any extra collections you add in to your planner? I'm wondering if I want to print some off Etsy and tip them in.

Tell me your dog's a magnificent little diva, without telling me they're a diva!

* I have to blend my girl's biscuits into dust and mix them into mince meat, in order for her to eat her food.
* When my her hair is longer, I have to clip her paws paws short (5mm), because she hates her paws being touched. (It does help prevent matting though, so I thoroughly recommend it!)
* She loses her mind when she knows we're headed to the dog park, and will barely let me unclip her from her carrier as she's trying to climb out the car door.
* She gets a large chunk of rotisserie chicken (her fave treat) daily.
* When strangers give her treats 99% of the time she shuns their kindness, because she has standards (she's only food motivated with mince meat and rotisserie chicken).
* I avoid doing any activity away from home without her, because she's the best and I hate being away from her! ❤️ She still complains about my audacity though, when I can't avoid it! 😂

I just impulse bought the full year's cousin. Unused weekly ideas?

I use my monthlies to book appointments, and sometimes I need to reference old ones, so I know what I'm doing there. I'll also add my package tracker here (otherwise I'll forget to reference it).

I'll be journalling in the relevant daily pages, and using the old pages for medical notes, etc. The relevant weeklies will be a health tracker and task list, it's just the old weeklies that I don't know what to do with.

I know I likely won't use up all the pages before the year is up (which is fine), but does anyone have any ideas for other stuff I could add in the weeklies, aside from what I've listed below?

So far I've come up with:
* Medical reference info
* Pet reference info (like pet insurance, microchip numbers, my aquariums water parameters, etc)
* Media tracker
* Budget planning
* Savings tracker
* Purchases wishlist
* Misc. notes

How long does their hair need to be to create a to knot? Tips?

My girl's hair is roughly 1.5", and I just tried to make a mini one (just above her eye, and it was an utter failure! Generally I keep my girl's hair quite short 1cm-2", but she keeps getting hair in her eyes (actually in her eyes, not just blocking her view), so I'm thinking of growing this area longer so that it stops bothering her.

B5 ruler for the win!

Daiso (Australia) is currently selling a B5 ruler which allows you to rule most of an A5 page and should for into most pencil cases.

I definitely think I’m now a convert to B5 rulers! Let’s hope they become more easily available!

Buying an electric wheelchair

I'm going to be buying my first electric wheelchair, and I'm just wondering if there's anything I need to know or consider? I'll only need it when my health is really bad, so I won't use it all of the time.

I've already found a portable hoist to help me get it in and out of the car.

I've just ordered my first CPB, and while I wait for it to arrive I'm looking up methods on how to structure it. I've read the resources listed in this sub, but I'm still feeling confused on how to do it. It seems like I'll probably develop a system that works for me over time, but in saying that I really feel like I don't know where to start!

I know from experience in my planner that colour coding works really well for me so I'll definitely be doing that, but beyond that I feel like I've got no idea on how to structure things. I'm confused by:
* What type of information is important to log when adding stuff?
* What will help me to find stuff later (I'm not sure a contents page will be enough)?
* Is there stuff that you guys like to add when logging just because you like it, but doesn't necessarily relate to finding stuff later?

I'm a detailed thinker and I've learnt that when thinks are explained too generally to me, I get lost in the lack of detail because I can't build a picture of it in my mind. In this case I'm feeling very overwhelmed by that, because I feel like there's so many possibilities of how I could log things (even if I don't know what those possibilities are), that I don't have a clear picture of what I need to do in order to have a place to start. I need more than a "you could do this", I need a "this is why doing things this way works for me".

It's been a long time since I've setup a bujo as a planner (I've mostly been using it as a notebook to log medical stuff the last few years), and I'm trying to remember what pages I might need.

I know that the best choice is to setup what you absolutely need (rather than what you think you want/need), but since it's been awhile I'm hoping you guys telling me what you add to your setups will help remind me of anything else I've forgotten that was a must have for me. I'm trying to plan ahead so that when my notebook arrives, I can just go straight into setting things up.

I know my must have pages are:
* Index
* Key page
* Future log
* Monthlies
* Weeklies
* Budgeting pages
* Medical info and appointment notes
* Pet info, vet notes and yearly trackers
* Package tracker

Things I know I won't need:
* Yearly overview
* Monthly habit/mood trackers
