Corned beef and cabbage sandwich

I’ll get some rye in a lil bit but I had to make a sandwich immediately. Made corned beef and cabbage for the first time, in a crockpot with equal parts beef stock and yuengling black and tan, and a few oz of muscadine juice.

Sandwich- leftover hamburger bun, French’s mustard on both sides, 2 slices of habanero cheddar, corned beef, cabbage leaves, more corned beef, dill pickle slices, juices for dippin’.

Edit- I did not get this from leatherface. Also, if you check my most recent post, I have a (hopefully) more attractive image of the non-sandwichified meal.

Yestermarrow: A World of Possibility[5e 2024][Homebrew][Online][West-Marches][New Player Friendly][First time DM]

To whom it may concern,

I write to you now of a new world discovered in our scan of the most recently added sector, Yestermarrow- A World of Possibility.

In the earliest age, the world was young and its peoples knew little beyond the lands beneath their feet. Then, in the year of the Great Sky Fall, mana-bearing meteors struck the earth, and where they landed, the world began to change. In time, fissures opened, pouring mana out over the earth, altering the land, the plants, and the creatures that lived upon it. Generations later, the world has adapted. Strange ecosystems have formed, dangerous species have found their place within them, and the wilderness has become something that must be understood rather than simply conquered.

Yestermarrow now pushes civilization into that wilderness. Roads are being laid, settlements are being founded, and new lands being grasped at for claim; but every expansion brings people into conflict with an ecology that has had centuries to establish itself. Some creatures must be slain. Others must be trapped, relocated, or managed. Some dangers are worth containing, while others are worth exploring.
For this purpose, the Assembly has recently undergone the establishment of a new Plane of Occupation for the Board to operate within. Boardmen are professional problem-solvers entrusted with the burdens of others. They hunt beasts, manage dangerous populations, retrieve lost treasures, investigate ruins, escort travelers, and venture beyond the known roads into uncharted country. The work demands more than strength. It demands preparation, investigation, and most of all- careful judgment.

We therefore extend to you an invitation to undertake the work of a Boardman within the Kingdom of Yestermarrow, carrying the authority and responsibility of the Board wherever the frontier calls.

The Assembly awaits your answer.

By authority of the Assembly of Boards.

2 players looking for a group for [5e or 5.5e] [Online]

My cousin and I are looking for a group, we’re both basically new players- I’m currently partaking in my first game and enjoy it a lot, he’s played a game before that concluded before it’s natural end, so we both have a hair of experience but are otherwise still new to the table.

He’s hoping to play a Blood-hunter: Order of the Ghost Slayer, I’m hoping to play a Rouge: Mastermind(who uses a musket ideally).

He’s CST and I’m EST, I’m not free on Monday nights.

[DnD 5e 2014] [DnD 5e 2024] [Online] New player never played

Never had anyone to play with, always wanted to play, I’m on EST and will be able to play consistently/routinely, have discord, have a character idea for a Plasmoid path of the giant Barbarian, I prefer the idea of fantasy settings, and will be ready to go as soon as a group picks me up and teaches me what’s what.

Made a watchlist and wanted to get some opinions on it.

Let me know your thoughts, what you like or don’t like about the list, what you’d change or leave the same, etc.

If it’s all good I might try and get some copies printed and consider handing them out at my church or something. I was aiming at a mix bag that gives people something that keeps them entertained over what’s flooding the tv today, gives scriptural depth to those who want to learn but have a hard time getting into the reading, and gives the kids something to enjoy between the studies of their parents- still my biggest concern is the use of Superbook as that might be too kiddy for the list I’m shooting for- if you have suggestions that are better suited then please let me know.

I’ve essentially always used a KJV, but I’m wanting something translated more recently. I go back and forth through several translations and am having a hard time settling. So for those who’ve read these I’d like to know your opinions: I’m considering the ESV, the AMP, or the NIV more than others. They all three differ a fair bit.

This will be my daily reader and study bible, my pastor uses a NIV for his sermons, I like the literal word for word the ESV offers, and the AMP seems like it would be good for deeper study.

Edit: Thank you all for your input and help 😄

Edit 2: After reading all the comments and doing some more digging- I’m still torn, though on different translations now. NKJV, ESV, and LSB. And it just so happens that parallels don’t exist of these translations without additional ones 🙃

Edit 3: Thank you fine folk your assistance 😄. After some deliberation and further research I’ve decided to get 2 bibles. I’ll be getting a NKJV and an LSB Study Bible.
