Is it worth it to buy second hand macbook? Ano mga dapat kong i-consider?
By the way my budget is 30k, and I would like to know if what macbook can fit on that budget. Nagcheck na ako sa carouselph and facebook but yung trust issues ko anlakas huhu, ayaw akong hayaang mag-risk 🤧
HI GUYS HULING RANT KO NA TOH FROM GAB, I would like to end everything here as a rant and also a lesson learned bago ako umalis.
Naalala niyo dati nung tinanong ako bakit daw sobrang tagal ko mag-edit? My explanation was hindi lang naman editing yung ginagawa ko. Kasama dun yung paghahanap ng raw clips, pag-oorganize ng files, pag-double check, pag-name ng exports, following SOP, pag-iisip ng creative approach, etc.
Then yung reply sakin halos point-by-point niya dinebunk lahat?
HIS REPLIES:
>1. "I used to edit these videos myself so I know exactly how the process works."
Huh? Hindi tayo pareho ng process so don’t tell me like it’s your own workflow.
>2. "Reviewing headlines... this isn't something you do."
Immediately dismisses my statement instead of asking what I meant, haha. I should review headlines (captions) dahil part yun ng magiging output ng video.
>3. "Searching for raw clips... there wasn't much to look through."
Oops! Maybe because clips are already familiar to him kaya easy lang?
>4. "Organizing assets: this takes very little time."
Medyo manipulative ha. Minimizes a task without observing my actual workflow?
>5. "Double-checking... that's about 15 minutes."
I edit 7 videos everyday, and I double-check everything from start to finish ng editing checklists niyong napakarami for each output.
>6. "Naming and exporting files: this is 30 seconds to a minute."
Char! Ganda ng specs ng device, pa-splook naman ng link oh.
>7. "Thinking creatively doesn't hold up because they're (outputs are) similar."
This isn't how creativity works. Actually, mas mahirap minsan gumawa ng similar videos cuz I really need to think na, "Hindi dapat identical." pero "Dapat same brand."

He’s concluding first instead of observing my workflow by sharing my full editing session.

Feeling ko tuloy hindi niya dini-disprove yung explanation ko based sa actual workflow ko. Dina-dissect niya lang based sa sarili niyang experience. Gets ko naman side niya as a manager. Valid naman na magtanong bakit matagal. Wala akong issue dun. Pero sana instead of saying "hindi dapat ganyan katagal," mas nagtanong muna siya ng, "Pakita mo nga workflow mo. Baka may bottleneck tayo na pwede nating ayusin."
Kakatapos ko lang mag-birthday and I'm genuinely happy and grateful. I used to be a call center agent way back then for almost 6 months, I left and look for a job that I wanted to be and eventually, naging video editor ako. Now, ang weird lang sa feeling na parang hindi pa enough sa'kin yung income ko dito, inside me I still want more, I'm still craving for more, gusto ko pang mag-travel, mag-vlog, EWAN!
I wanted to keep working remotely, but I don’t have my own laptop. So here I am, working as video editor again as part time internationally pero dahil lowballer and toxic na rin, aalis din ako. Now, here I am going back to the call center life (I told myself I’d never go back to that industry lol) so I can save enough to buy a laptop this year and go back to bed and work peacefully.
I wonder if I can handle being a call center agent at night and a video editor during the day. Should I go back nalang ba talaga or mag-stay nalang ako dito? If ever makabalik ako as agent, kayanin ko kaya? 😫
Hey guys, pa-rant lang ulet dahil pikang-pika na rin ako dito. He asked me why is my couple of revisions took so long to finish na dapat 10 minutes lang daw. WTF? "Couple of revisions" daw ampota, eh sobrang daming pina-revise? I had more than seven videos to revise and that already includes double-checking, rendering, and organizing everything. How is all of that supposed to fit into just 10 minutes?
I already explained my side to him, and now it feels like I have to explain it all over again. Does he actually know anything about post-production? Jusko! 🤧
HI GUYS PA RANT LANG. It's been 20 days since I got hired in this tiring jewerly brand company. Their offer to me is good enough naman for short form organic videos, but this Gabriel na laging may puna sa lahat ng empleyado niya including me ay NAKAKAIRITA NA! Bukod sa napakaraming feedbacks and complains, palaging may say sa workflow ko 🤧
Editing itself isn’t what takes up all the time. There are many parts of the process that are not visible in the tracked hours. As their video editor, I always spend a large part of my day reviewing headlines (captions), searching for the right raw clips, organizing assets, double-checking everything, naming and exporting files, and making sure each video meets the SOP before submission.
On top of that, a lot of time also goes into rendering and thinking through the creative approach while working. Every hours of mine reflects more than just editing, it also reflects the entire creative process.
Feeling ko hindi na 'ko tatagal dito, pero ang hirap din kaseng bitawan hayst.

Hi everyone, pa-rant lang. I'm currently working remotely as a video editor ng international brand and so far mabait naman yung creative director. I'm okay with any feedbacks and do an adjustments/revisions, walang problema. However, kahit na checked naman editing checklist na meron sila, may complain pa rin eh but okay lang saken yun pero naiirita ako at the same time, they've mentioned that they will give me a "Creative Freedom" but after sending my output parang hindi ko naman feel yung freedom doon sa feedbacks niya saying na "You didn’t apply all the feedback?". Nakakainis lang na etong answered prayer job ko, kinaiinisan ko na haha. OO NA ETO NA NGA REVISION FINAL_FINAL_FINAL HAHAHAAH
Nagkasalubong nanaman kami, and dun pa talaga sa bagong route ko where I always find peace kase wala siya dun. I was wearing facemask and unfortunately namukhaan niya pa rin ako. Sabi niya, "Hindi ka na sumasamba?" siyempre naging honest nalang ako, I replied "Hindi na po."
Eto ang nakakaloka, namalditahan ko siya haha. He asked me why, and ang sagot ko "Ayoko na po eh, bakit? 🙄" HAHAHAHA nakakanginig pero masarap din sa feeling na masabi ‘yon in front of him. Lastly, gawa daw ako salaysay, no i would never do that, just take my “yes" as a BIG NO!
HELP! I invested an entry-level condenser mic since plano kong mag-release ng maraming songs. Naka-on na 48 phantom power and enough lang gain, ang problem is bakit kaya may wind noises kahit tahimik na sobra ang room? XLR cable ko ba may problem?
