Is there even hyper growth opportunities in Freelancing now?

Just came across a post where people were discussing how freelancing is about to die very very soon. Especially after this whole AI character boom.

I just started making decent money and a stable living out of this. I thought after years and years of struggle, Things would calm down. But man, Its such a piss off.

Am I the only one whos worried and scared???

Then there are companies like Zoho, Invoicebhai and others hiring freelancers full time for their content teams.

Is it about time. we safeguarded by moving into full time contracts?

From an Idea to Execution. Never have been humbled so much in life.

Never been humbled so much in my life. I have massive respect for developers and businessmen and any working professional.

Building this made me actually realise the grass is not greener in any side.
After speaking to so many people from different fields, Life is not easy anywhere it seems.

Massive respect to all.

Nevertheless, submitting to your feeds. The response has been phenomenal, want you all to give your opinion.

Curiosity and doubts are welcome, Hate not so much.
Please. ✨🙌🏻

People earning 2L+/month what are you using for GST invoices? I've tried everything and I'm losing my mind

Crossed a decent turnover last year, now every client wants a proper GST invoice before releasing payment. Been through the options and I’m done.

Zoho: needs a PhD to set up. ₹900+/month for features I’ll never touch. Built for companies not solo freelancers.

Billbook: both have UI from 2019. Clunky, too many taps for basic stuff. myBillBook spammed me with notifications I couldn’t turn off. Uninstalled both.

Refrens is decent but browser-only, no real app. Free tier is basically a demo.

InvoiceBhai was the fastest one I tried, works entirely on WhatsApp no app needed. But free plan caps at 5 invoices and I need 8-10. Paid is only ₹150/month and includes Eway quotations and custom branding but I’m already drowning in subscriptions.

At this point I just want something that:

Lets me generate a clean GST invoice in under 2 minutes.

Doesn’t require watching a 40 minute tutorial to set up

Costs less than ₹200/month OR has a usable free tier.

Works on mobile because I’m not always at my desk,
Is that too much to ask? What are you guys using? Genuinely curious because every freelancer I know just says “my CA handles it” which is not an answer

Hey

Hiring manual test users for InvoiceBhai

The idea is simple: you send a message on WhatsApp, and your GST-compliant invoice is generated and ready to share. You can send a text message, an audio note or even upload an image. No app downloads, no complex dashboards. Theres a lot more to it than this.

What I need: I'm looking for 10 people who actively send GST invoices to clients freelancers, consultants, agency owners, small shop owners to test the product and give me honest, brutal feedback over a 10-minute call.

What's in it for you:

  • getting paid for using the product for hardly an hour or two
  • Free lifetime access to the product
  • Your feedback directly shapes what we build next

Who's a good fit:

  • You invoice clients regularly (GST or non-GST)
  • You currently use something like Canva templates, Refrens, Zoho, Excel, or just wing it
  • You're comfortable chatting on WhatsApp

Just launched my project, Invoicebhai, and the response has been surreal.
It can generate 100% GST compliant invoices on Whatsapp in mere seconds in any language.
The problem is, The roadmap and the ICP.
I dont understand which feature to focus on and which route to take. and who to target,
initially it was to target business owners and freelancers. But it was my naivety which made me believe I can target both of them at once with ease. while launching new features simultaneously.

help me out guys!

Wrong GST number, wrong SAC code, a typo in the amount or something small that spiraled into something serious. Audit, penalty, client dispute, anything.

Genuinely curious because everyone treats invoicing like an afterthought until it isn't.

Hey everyone,

I'm Hussain Kazim, founder of InvoiceBhai. We're building an AI tool that lets freelancers and small business owners create and send GST compliant invoices directly from WhatsApp. No app download, no dashboard login, no learning curve.

Registered Indian MSMEs: 7.6Crore.
Active WhatsApp monthly Users in India: over 55crore
Active Freelancers/Influencers: 4-6 million

But this subreddit isn't just about our product. It's for anyone in India who's dealing with the everyday chaos of:

  • Figuring out GST compliance without a full-time CA
  • Often come across situation where they need impromptu invoices.
  • Think Indian compliances are too complex and are afraid to take over accounting because they're afraid they might mess up.
  • Keeping invoices and records organised enough that tax season doesn't destroy you
  • Running a one-person or small team operation and wearing every hat

I started InvoiceBhai because I saw business dont keep full time accountants, their invoicing is still so diverse and unstructured and the current software and tools were too complex and UI unfriendly, They come with a massive learning curve, So I thought to tackle that, and to make sure everyone, From a 8 year old to an 80 year old are able to do it (Though, I hardly think any 8 or 80 year old is going to make an invoice xd), So we chose Whatsapp, One app with the lease learning curve and the highest possible adoption. Especially in a country like India. Where we have millions of business and individuals who make money and need invoice at one point in time or another.

We're early. We've had about 950 people try the product so far, and honestly, the feedback has pushed us to rethink a lot of our assumptions. This was apparently needed more than we thought it would. That's a good thing. and I'd rather build something people actually need than something that sounds good in a pitch deck.

So if you're a freelancer, consultant, small manufacturer, trader, or anyone running a small operation in India this is your space. Ask questions, share what's working, vent about what isn't. I'll be here regularly, not just posting product updates but actually talking shop.

To kick things off. what are your thoughts on this?

Hussain Kazim
