Singaporean Boss?

Hi! What are your thoughts about working for a singaporean boss? It’s just so you know…difficult. I don’t know if it’s their work culture, your schedule is Monday to Friday but if you don’t work on weekends, you are lazy. I am this 🤏🏻 close into going AWOL.

Finally Hired!!!

Graduated last 2024 and started working agad same year, been to two jobs and left my last one due to severe stress (resigned immediately)

Was unemployed for 2 months and after hundreds of job applications, i finally signed an offer letter

Less than 2 years sa corporate world but now I will earn more than double of my very first salary

TYL FOR THIS!

Hiring Process

For context: I have 2.5 years of experience

So i applied to this company (provincial location) and was invited for an interview.

Went there, started filling up forms and then HR gave me assessment, sinagutan ko naman of course, btw it was 30 questions per category (THERE WERE 4 CATEGORIES)

After, I was given Sach Sentence Completion Test.

THEN I was given 3 more exams (technical and theoretical), plus ESSAYS (MULTIPLE)

ALL THIS FOR AN ENTRY LEVEL JOB. After assessments, come lunch time.

AFTER LUNCH, was called for an INITIAL interview, then interviewer disclosed the rate and it came up to 600/ day.

Initial interview done and they told me to wait for a few hours for the final interview, same day.

I went home and never came back. 😅

Payroll

For those HR professionals who are in US/UK payroll, how did you guys land your first US/UK payroll job?

I really really want to delve into those and palagi ako nag a-apply sa mga “entry level” hiring, but hindi ako palaging natatanggap kasi wala akong global payroll experience (I only have PH payroll)

How can one gain experience if companies don’t want to hire inexperienced candidates that are willing to be trained? 😅

Hi! I just need some insights po. I applied for this company and i was done with initial interview and the interview with the hiring manager. Initial went well but yung hiring manager was medyo rude and i already expected na hindi ako pasado based on his remarks and answers to me.

Days passed i saw that the job was posted again and is open for applications (after initial interview i saw na hindi na tumatanggap ng applications yung post/closed na sya) so i concluded na hindi talaga ako pumasa.

Now HR contacted me and said na they wanted to push through with my application.

Is it good na ipagpatuloy ko pa sya or tell the HR what I saw?
