Power backups

I don’t have a lot of savings to spend on a battery unfortunately. I know I need something that I can recharge using solar power although I’m unsure how long it would take to recharge here in the UK wintertime!
Is it worth it? Which one have you got and why? What would you recommend for under £300 including solar panels.
Thank you in advance.

What could have happened? Is it the seller or the courier?

I purchased 3 king size duvet covers from a seller on Vinted to be collected at a store.
This is what I received, a small kids boxing glove and a roll of brown paper! Inside was also a ripped up yellow bag with the same label and tracking number as the label on the outside! The only difference is the outside label says 2kg and the ripped up one inside the package says <1kg.
Other than that the labels are the same.
Was this the seller? They have really good feedback though, or could it be the courier?

Don’t forget Clocks!!

I just realised that everything I use to tell the time are digital. Amazon Alexa, phone, smart watch or the microwave!!
So it may be useful to add a battery powered clock to your list of items!
Just a thought.

Youth and crime

Recently I’ve been seeing more and more posts about youths harassing people and committing crimes.

Seeing these kids on e-scooters causing havoc is pretty scary.

It got me thinking 🤔 what can be done about it? The police are powerless and so is the community. Unless you want to end up in prison of course.

These are my thoughts,

perhaps we need to start giving girls the option of birth control at 15/16. If it was normalised then there would be less unwanted pregnancy’s. Having a nurse go into schools and speak to each girl in that year individually.

Not all kids fit into the school system, so give them options to learn a proper trade. So they get to do practical work, brick laying, wood work, sewing, cooking.

Give police the power to do something with these kids. Send them to a military school maybe?

What are your thoughts and ideas?

My son had a brain bleed at age 8. A vessel in his frontal lobe burst on his right side. The left same had the same malformation as the right and would burst in the future if not fixed. So he now has a coil on each side of his brain. It’s a few years later and he is now being tested for HHT. It’s going to take up to 9 months for the results. He doesn’t have nose bleeds so that’s a positive sign (I think).
I know you can’t diagnose him but I was just curious about how it affects people who have it.
