I’ve bought several pings and have propagated all of them so the bulk of my pings come from leaf props. I’ve ordered from 2 (maybe 3 sellers, I can’t recall) sellers and one of the sellers I was most impressed with. The other seller in the past Ive thought the pings were small and/or not in the best shape. Being somewhat new to pings at the time, I didn’t know if the condition I received them in was standard so I never questioned it. I would pot them up and wait for them to stabilize and perk up. However after propagating my own pings and shipping some to friends, it’s made me wonder if I should question the quality of the pings I’ve received. So I just received my Pinguicula Moranensis Var. x Cycloseta yesterday, I paid for 2 day express shipping so it wasn’t boxed up and in transit for long. I bought one and I’m going to assume that a second smaller one was included maybe bc I received the larger one which is on the smaller side. I’m curious if anyone thinks this is normal or if maybe I should go with another seller in the future. You can see in the first 2-3 pics the melted leaves (which I know is probably typical with shipping pings) and I placed a dime next to them for scale. They arrived with dried up/no roots.

Pic 4 - dried up/dead roots?

3 BLOOMS AT THE SAME DAMN TIME!! 😳

My Ehlersiae x Mesophytica has been the most prolific out of my pings. It’s has given me multiple as well as blooms. Not all of my pings have given blooms (yet) but this one has been very consistent. Until now that is…I’ve only seen 1 bloom at a time. My Johanna put out a bloom and then put out another as it was splitting but this is something I have never seen before…3 blooms coming out of the same spot at the same time! I’m not worried but I am curious to know if this is an indication of something…does it mean it’s super happy, is it too much of something? Is there any reason this is happening as opposed to the typical one shoot at a time?

HELP - Indoor Planting of Wild Flower seeds

I am potting wild flower seeds that was gifted with a terracotta pot at a baby shower. I am a plant/succulent collector but a total novice when it comes to planting seeds. I don’t use soil for any of my plants but I do have coco coir. I ordered worm castings as I read that mixed with the coco coir and perlite (which I also have) would be good for this. My question is how far down do I pot the seeds and bury or do I sprinkle them on top? Should I place a plastic bag over the pot for humidity? Any tips welcomed! I plan on doing this this coming weekend!

Just wondering if anyone has ever used SNS 203 or SNS 209 for their succulents, specifically as a drench? Did you see results? Did your succulents do well with it? Some of my succulents are dying off randomly, even new ones (not a lot but enough to cause concern). Or some are showing some leaf burn all over. I don’t know what’s causing it but the 209 is something I’ve been using for the last 2-3 months. I’ve also been adding some Shultz liquid fertilizer which I never used to do. I also could be using too much fertilizer bc I just put a bunch of drops in. Just trying to figure it out bc it’s making me doubt myself with caring for succulents. I use a purely inorganic gritty mix, usually chunky pieces and horticultural charcoal on the bottom then I’ll use a gritty mix with finer pieces and akadama. I’ve always used gritty mix. Growlights for 12 hours a day. Airflow with fans. I have been watering a little more often but still not too often (at least 3 weeks depending on the size of the pot) but when I water I bottom soak my succulents. I’m doing something wrong here all of a sudden, just not sure what. I was previously using seaweed solution in my watering but stopped once I started using the SNS 209. I can’t think of what else has changed.
