Question! Fiber!

In one of Dr. Paul Mason's lectures, he said that fiber causes microtears in the intestinal wall. True? I would like to learn more about this.

Acidity

Whenever I eat nothing but meat all day I get acidic. I just feel this powerful overall ill-like feeling. Have any of you experienced this? What can I do to fix it?

Thank you!

Is this viable?

Look at this funky thing. I have had at least four seeds wind up like this where the leaves don't come out of the seed coat completely. I pushed back some of the dirt, but that doesn't help. I'll probably plant it somewhere eventually just to give it a chance.

Electrolytes

Is it true that your need for electrolytes goes up doing carnivore? If so, should I get an electrolyte with more potassium than sodium or more sodium than potassium? I have 3 different electrolytes picked out: Seeking Health, Just Ingredients, and I forgot the last one. Two have more potassium than sodium, and the last one has more sodium than potassium.

Why do I feel sick?

I just bought a grass-finished ribeye steak and ate it. I feel so sick right now. What is the cause??? I don't think I have alpha-gal, but then I've never been tested. What's wrong with me?????

Edit: I cooked it to medium-well.

Edit 2: I had a little diarrhea (was constipated before that, so idk if that was actually because of the steak). I also felt super tired like I was ill and was a little nauseous. BUT my lethagy and brain fog went away, sooo idk.

Question about liver

I developed copper poisoning due to a diet that was pretty much vegetarian (not by choice!). Once I had a choice again, I treated myself and added red meat back in. At one point, I looked into adding liver but read that it contained a high amount of copper and very little zinc which would have caused a copper imbalance again. Was this info wrong? I would like to see sources.

Also, is there a difference between beef liver and other livers? Thank you.

Fat calculations

Ok, what is the calculation for fat intake? How many oz/lb of (ideal) body weight? And what is the calculation for muscle meat? I'm mostly concerned about keeping my fat up.

Thanks!!

Where do you guys get your DHA, EPA, and iodine from?

I am looking for ideal answers, e.g. from natural sources. So no supplements, etc. I personally love the taste of seafood, but it doesn't seem very popular here. Why not?

I have had a very hard finding info on how much we need and how much grass-finished meats have, but I was finally able to find this today:

Also, what random cool and interesting stuff do you guys know?

Beef fat or beef suet

From what I've been told, there is a difference between beef fat and suet. One (can't remember which) will just completely melt like butter when heated, but the other will stay like it is more. Is this true? I would like to get something that I can just fry in a pan without it just completely melting. I want to be able to pick it up with a fork. Which one should I buy? And I really don't want to eat it raw.

Thank you!!

Questions

  1. How wide and tall do paw paw trees get when full grown?
  2. What kind of winter protection do baby trees need? I grew mine from seed this year. Several are coming up!!!!!!
  3. Also, which varieties have the least amount of neurotoxins? I would like to eat these if I can.

Thank you!!

Sizing of food

We were feeding her fuzzies and are wondering if sizing up to a small mouse is right. We tried to take the best pictures we could w/ the mouse and the largest part of her stomach. The last picture is the mouse sideways. Does this size look okay for her or is it too big?

My paw paw sprouted!!!!!

Is my paw paw okay? I didn't realize the taproot would be THAT long, so I had to take it out and plant it. It's super tall. The towel is for shade on the south side. None of my other seeds sprouted yet.

Also, what is up w/ the seed? Do they normally detach from the seed when germinating? I've never seen a plant do that.

Is this a mulberry tree or something else?

Came in a fig tree box, but the fig sub is telling me it's not even a fig tree. Someone said it could be a mulberry tree. If it's not a fruit-bearing tree, I'm going to rip it out.

What is wrong w/ my fig tree?

This is a chicago hardy fig tree that I got from... I don't remember haha. Anyways, I just planted it in the ground several days ago and put a towel on the south side of it for sun protection. I didn't gradually introduce it to the outdoors because the roots were very long already when I got it. I was just trying to keep it alive until I could plant it. The bottom three leaves were already turning yellow inside, but now a lot are yellow. I'm in zone 6a. Can I save it? If so, how?

Just remembered that I mixed the ground dirt we have w/ some Organic miracle grow for flowers and vegetable plants when planting.

Got a question

We just got a Venus fly trap from walmart. It was doing well when we bought it. It takes food, but then the leaves turn black and never open back up. Whyyyyy?
