I've just been through my library and set series info, but when I sync it to the Kobo, the series aren't showing up.

I have checked the 'set series information' box in the KoboTouch (2.6.0) plugin - is there something else I need to do?

I have downloaded all my Amazon Kindle books on to my computer (all legally purchased, I downloaded them when Amazon first announced they were going to stop people downloading them), and want to add them to Calibre so I can move them over to my new Kobo. However, I'm wondering what's the best way of importing / organising / exporting them?

The files are currently in AZW3 format. Is it possible to convert when I import them into a different format, e.g. KEPUB? I can import then convert, then remove the AZW3 versions, but that seems like a bit overcomplicated. Can Calibre auto-convert when importing instead?

I've read that it's better to export to a Kobo device in the KEPUB format instead of the EPUB. Would it be better to store them in the library in EPUB format for future compatibility if I switch readers in the future to a non-Kobo device and convert when sending them to the Kobo? Or just keep the library as KEPUB and worry about conversion if it becomes an issue in the future?

Any other suggestions for library storage and organisation?

Genuine question, why do people love devices with physical page turn buttons?

Ages ago, I used to have a Kindle with page turn buttons, they were ok, but when I switched to a Paperwhite without buttons I didn’t find that I missed them. I don’t have a problem turning pages using the touch screen.

Any insight in to this would be welcome, I genuinely don’t get why people love them so much… 🤷‍♂️. To be clear, I’m ambivalent about them, I could take or leave them, but reading here and watching reviews etc online, I keep hearing that people love the buttons…

I own the 5.5e PHB and want to try to create a Bladesinger character, but it's not showing on the list of options for sub-class. I assume this means I need to own the 2014 rules as well?

I've been trying to get Linux working but have had a few problems. I tried to reinstall Windows but something I've done while experimenting has deleted the secure boot keys. Is there a way to get them back? I tried updating my BIOS but that hasn't fixed it. I looked around the BIOS, but couldn't see an option to restore the keys. Do I need to delete them before the option to reinstall them becomes available?

Motherboard is B550-E.

A few weeks ago, I tried installing Fedora KDE but a few problems led to me reinstalling Windows. However, I think I've got the soltions to those problems but I've got a new one that I need help with.

I have two drives, one with Fedora 44 KDE and a second one tha I want to call 'Games' and mount in the 'media' or 'mnt' folder so it appears in the tree as 'media/Games' or 'mnt/Games'. The problem is that I can't get it to mount and show up as 'Games' in the tree. If I try to add a folder when setting the mount point, it says I don't have permission to do that.

Also, I've tried adding it to my Steam library as a second drive, but it doesn't want to do that, it's like it's ignoring anything I do and just showing the original home drive.

If anyone has some ideas I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to to say the drive is formatted as btrfs.

I am trying to get FFXIV installed on a second drive that I have mounted as /mnt/Games. I've got FFXIV Launcher installed and have used Flatseal to add the location under 'File System / Other Files', but whenever I try to install, I get an error that says "An error occurred (HandlePatchAsync). System.IO."

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have Fedora 44 KDE and I’m trying to get it set up with two physical drives - under windows it would be good old C and D drives. I want to have the same sort of arrangement in Fedora, but my current lack of knowledge is just causing frustration. So, can anyone recommend some good resources to help me learn (in addition to asking here of course).

My main objective is to have two physical drives, on for the OS and one for games and data, and I want them mounted in an easy to find way so that when I’m installing games, when the installer asks for a path I can just point it at the ‘Games’ drive. My experience so far has been that I need to hunt around to find the the drive, I think it ended up in a ‘media’ folder or something like that, which I assume is related to the mount point… When looking at the system in the Dolphin file manager, the two disks showed up as ‘Fedora’ and ‘Games’ but the installers were using Wine so I had to hunt around for the right location.

I was watching a video by Ham Radio DX about SSDR Console to try to help get it set up correctly to reduce the noise levels, and in the video he shows a bit about setting the gain using a panel in the left hand side called 'Radio', featuring settings labelled LNA, mixer and VGA . For some reason, I don't have that section or those options despite running the same version 3.3 - I've got the other sections in there but not the radio one. The only other place I can see referencing gain is in the 'Home' section of the main menu, but that doesn't have the same options - it has VHF gain, AGC, Bias-T, HF Mode and Visual Gain. Any ideas where I can find those settings?
