Driving Through Norway?

My partner and I are doing a 2-week trip to Scandinavia and will be spending about 6 of those days in Norway. We're staying in Oslo and then we are spending a couple days at the Juvet Landscape Hotel near Alesund. Currently we have a flight booked from Oslo to Alesund, but we're thinking it might be nice to just drive from Oslo directly to the Juvet Landscape Hotel, which is about 7 hours. The flight would be under an hour and then it would be an hour drive from the airport to the hotel. Would it be worth doing the 7-hour drive for sightseeing purposes?

ETA: Thanks everybody for your responses!

How can you really tell when it’s time?

My partner’s dog is 16 and has been declining for a year. She barely recognizes us, seems terrified and confused a lot of the time, and her back legs seem to really give her trouble. Lately she’s been whining after being put to bed, like she can’t get comfortable. Today she even peed in her bed, which she’s never done. But then other times, like after walks when it’s time for treats, she still gets excited for a few minutes while she eats. But mostly she runs from us and even tries to bite us when we pick her up for walks, which is new behavior. Her quality of life seems bad most of the time, but there are still sparks of joy here and there, which makes it so confusing. We have talked to vets and we have an appointment for euthanasia this weekend, but I can tell my partner still doesn’t know if it’s really time. Neither of us have been through this before, and doing it too early seems so horrible. I’m just hoping to hear about other people’s experiences to maybe give us some clarity on whether it’s really the right time.

LA Show Day 1

I’ve been carrying the torch for this niche/nerdy band for 30 years and I am so utterly blown away by the crowd reaction last night. I never would’ve thought I’d see them at a sold out show at the Palladium, but what was crazier is that more than half the audience was super young (many literally teenagers) and they knew the words to EVERY SONG. It was so wild. I was standing next to another dude in his 40s/50s like me and I could tell he was thinking the same thing, that it was so insane to be seeing this band with this kind of crowd in 2026. The kids were moshing and dancing and singing and it was so heartwarming for me, I literally cried when they played “I’d Like Your Hair Long” and everyone around me started screaming the lyrics. One kid behind me lost his shit completely when the opening chords of “I Hate It Too” came on. Honestly one of the best, if not the best, concert experience of my entire life. Jealous of people who get to see them again tonight with a slightly different setlist.

Also, I spent $230 at the merch table.
