I need some reassurance about this wall that I am 99% sure is NOT load bearing.

I have a really oddly placed wall in my house that cuts the entire building in half which makes terrible airflow and guestflow. Seriously, the only way from one side of the house to the other is through a single normal sized doorway opening. The floor joists run north-south (literally in this case) and the roof trusses are identical all the way down the length of the house (single story Ranch style). I want this wall gone and a direct path from the office/dining room space to the living room. Here is where I get questions. The living room is sunken by about 6 inches and the wall that I want going runs parallel to the joists and trusses, directly on top of a truss at the edge of this sunken living room and directly underneath a truss for the wall's full run. I know walls that are load bearing typically are perpendicular to these items plus the trusses being identical (24 inch on center) and crossing the length I want open in other places tells me I am on good ground here, I just want someone to reassure my opinion before I start knocking down drywall. Thanks!

My dog needs surgery, where should I take her?

Her rear leg didn't develop properly at the same rate as the other one and now her patella is slipping and causing damage to her CCL. The vet gave some recommendations and based on reviews (Yelp and GMaps) and distance, I have narrowed it down to BluePearl or OREV and ruled out Dove Lewis. Anyone that has needed surgery for their companion, especially canine orthopedic surgery, which of these would you choose? Or do you recommend somewhere else? She's barely 2 years old if that matters for some reason.
