It’s interesting how bombshells have not been that influential this season in terms of disrupting couples or driving storylines. The main storyline rn is the love square involving Lorenzo, Yasmine, Kavan and Jasmine. Although Kav and Yas were bombshells the disruption of their current couple’s is happening because two OGs still have lingering feelings for each other. It’s not the traditional story of an OG couple that ends up in a triangle because one of them wants to get to know a bombshell. It’s not like it’s unusual for people to be interested in people who are already in the villa (other than their partner) but it seems to be a common feature this year. Other examples include Samraj being in a love triangle with Priya and Mica, Simba being in a triangle with Angie and Mica, Aidan still trying to win back Yas and Ellie before her. I recognise some of the people mentioned above were bombshells but 1) people like yas were very early bombshells so almost feel like OGs and 2) Only Simba and Yas really did the “job” of a bombshell by successfully breaking up a couple, most of the other bombshells have either been dumped or ended up with someone who was single/didn’t have something solid. I’m not mad at this development I just find it interesting as it’s not something I can recall seeing on love island before
It’s crazy how her love is blind journey unfolded. She picked Davide over Nicola because she thought Nicola wouldn’t find her attractive and believed Davide was the “safe option“. Davide ended up not finding her attractive and now she’s dating Nicola IRL. You can’t predict these things because I was very much of the belief at the time that if Nicola and Ludo had gotten engaged he would have spent their whole time sulking and making Lud’s life hell once he saw karen.
